1) Garchomp is definitely impactful, it's been at the top of competitive play for its entire existence. Despite mentioning it, you failed to include the impact it had from tearing apart nuzlockers with Cynthia in the games, having been in several parts of the anime, in the spear pillar pokemon generations special, and even the shiny you get from Benga in B2/W2 (despite the shiny being questionable) 2) Yay hydreigon

However garchomp is hardly in the anime whereas hydreigon in his opinion is super cool, dragonfire is everywhere, and goodra is important in X and y, and whilst Cynthia was hard, for the main 10 year old audience if Pokémon, most haven't really fought Cynthia as diamond pearl and platinum are so old. However with the new games soon to come, there will be more light to garchomp I hope.

I completely agree with hydreigon being number 1. He is my favorite dragon type and the first dragon type that i got to max evolution in my omega ruby game. Sure it is arguably not strong but he has some signature moves like tri attack that helps set it apart from the others. If game freak gives it a mega evolution i would gladly buy that game.

BUT, i do play the games, i have a completed game of omega ruby with half the pokedex filled, and i would get other games but i cant afford them so i can only get my omega ruby game. Also just because someone thinks a move is a Pokemons signature move when its not, then assuming that they dont play the games is a little far, and trust me i know what far is. So if you ever think someone doesnt play something just cuz they got a fact mixed up is just you trying to get attention. Latios and Latias will always have an special place in my heart as my all times favorite dragons, but if i have to pick a non legendary dragon then i would pick Altaria and it's Mega evolution. This pokemon had save me so many times in Omega Ruby with it's return/roost/cotton guard/dragon dance.

Salamance although basic in design wins it for me because it achieved its life long goal of flying. Hurling itself off cliffs in a doomed effort of soaring through the sky, smashing head first into the ground, its tragic and yet pretty inspiring stuff. So I would disagree with saying it lacks personality compared to the others on the list.

I used a Hydreigon in my play-through of Pokemon Moon and completely agree. Of course my its my opinion, but I loved how it worked so well in my team! I'm playing Emerald right now and I think you can catch a Bagon in the same place, but just a heads up its sort of complicated. Basically you have to go to Meteor Falls and have waterfall/surf. There's a small room, way out of the way where there's a 10% (I think) chance of catching it. They definitely went out of there way to make this Pokemon hard to come by, good luck!!!

Yeah it can be although I still perfer haxsorus over hydregon despite being technically weaker in stats the fact haxsorus is almost as strong and only has the single type of dragon so it doesn’t have any other weaknesses still even in gen 5 hydregon has the added weakness of fighting which compared to ice and dragon is way more common then the other 2 I mentioned and sense fighting types is one of the best neutral types to use against dragons having a weakness to fighting is not a great thing to have

Goodra is not deserving of number 2. His design is garbage for a dragon, he seems more of a poison type and isn't even part poison. His stats are ok, yes it's one of the best tanks but when that's all you have its extremely predictable. Also he doesn't have much impact at all, the only reason it has any at all is becuase it's recent. I think Garchomp and Dragonite deserve to be above it and maybe even Flygon. Flygon has a great design has ok stats like Goodra and has far more impact. Being well known just from the games not needing to be recent.

Salamence is bae. I was on the Salamence train when a friend told me about it back when I was like 8 or 9 years old playing Ruby. I managed to find a Bagon and then stayed up all night and just battled dozens of wild pokemon in Meteor Falls until it hit Level 45. It became just as valuable to me as my starter. That was over 15 years ago when I did not even know what a repel did or what the elite four even was. I still have not forgotten that experience. Its awesome knowing that a pokemon I cherish, wrecked havok on the competitive community and also became so iconic.
