Hey, how's it going everyone?! Shoulder Pets in Ark: Survival Evolved play a huge role in how you play the game! Which are best and which ones can a specific use. Today I go over which ones are my favorite and which ones you should most certainly should keep an eye out for in your adventures!
ABOUT THIS GAME
As a man or woman stranded naked, freezing and starving on the shores of a mysterious island called ARK, you must hunt, harvest resources, craft items, grow crops, research technologies, and build shelters to withstand the elements. Agree with the list. Cant live without the sinomacrops anymore 😂 *everything* is half weight when its in the sinomacrops inventory. But the otters is the absolute cutest 💜

The Jerboa also halves its weight when carried. Weird how that wasn't even mentioned. Hopefully that's the only thing me missed in the video, as I don't want such details omitted when it comes to shoulder pets I know nothing about. XD

Three important things to add: Sinomacrops backpack storage reduces weight of EVERYthing by Half! Don't forget Otters only eat fish. They will tragically die if you dont keep fish in your trough. Sinomacrops are the easiest way to tame a Quetzal, early on.

Glowpets also show you nearby max level creatures so they're not entirely useless outside of Aberration... ;-)

Love the list. Sinomacrops are definitely my favorite. One more thing about otters though, they can also hatch eggs.

Sino will give you a slight boost in water by flapping it's wings to help you swim faster with a slight increase to elevation. I have tamed Gigas and carchars with these. Taming a carchar without a trap while using a sino is the best method for getting it's friendship meter up

Amazing video as always inomacrops is basically the only tame you'll need if your dino max level is high because then their stamina isn't a issue anymore. I don't know if they fixed this but they had 50% weight reduction and another 50% when they go on your shoulder basically 75% reduction

I still have a soft spot for Vultures and dimorphodons. It's cool to have them follow you. Packing a lot of power to back you up in tough situations.

This was super helpful. But could you make a new episode or a cool one with all shoulder pets... Like even some episodes or something with shoulder pets. Not sure why but had a feeling yiu could make it fun show about it or something hahaha. But do your thing man. Respect! 😂

I have to say my pets.... I have a likings for light pets for the max level detection, hawks for ease of body recovery... Even on Steam. Otters, mesos, itchy... They're all pretty cool!

Not to mention the sinomacrops have a 50% weight reduction on EVERYTHING! AND they have a parachute feature if u hold the right stick on console, not sure what it is on PC but it's the same button for holding, they are extremely versatile

I believe there is a cool down now of an hour after bed hopping with a hawk though, so you cant just hop hop hop anymore, which sucks!

I found out that Otters with a very high melee stat can incubate eggs. Even rock drake and wyvern eggs.

There's an aberration cave on lost island that has ferox, and on fjordur, there's a really easy cave in the northwest. Might have to clear out some bears or wolves, but after that, it's nothing but ferox. Don't have coords, but you can find that online.

I have wondered if you have the hack in a boss arena and you die will it bring all of your personal items back or will it die also , I am debating of doing a hard save then checking it out incase I lose everything then I could just reuse the hard save. but if it does work then I wouldnt be so nervous, like when I am in the gen sims I bring in tek everything and my gear is usually crafted using a mindwipe and it tales allot of materials days -weeks of getting that well I wouldn't want to lose all my great crafted gear which I have in the past

I have 3 otters that are high levels with hats on I mean helmets yea also dimorphodon will annoy the Dino to try to attack you

i would of had the inchyornis on my list, purely because of the prime meat, and infinite fish that it gives you, and it one shots any fish ( coel, prinaha, and sabertooth)

From a pve perspective fjordhawk is easily #1, for sheer amount of disconnect saves

Do you recommend taking a Fjordhawk into Boss Arena battles if you're concerned about losing good Armor/Weapons? Would they still bring back your items?

No they won't. If your in another biom the hawk will not bring you back your gear. Hawks also aren't allowed in the boss arena due to them being flyers as well. Hawks are probably the most useless shoulder pet in the game they're only use is to use to transfer items from base to base quickly by fast travel.
