The curriculum of China Medical Universities is very different from that of world top medical universities. You have to learn lots of unessential modules that are never taught in world top universities. The big disadvantage is that you cannot focus well on very important modules as you still have to spend some time on those unnecessary modules as well as less clinical exposure. Compare 3rd year medical studies between UK universities and china universities: you are still learning about cells and parasites in china universities while a UK student is doing clinical rotations at hospitals and physical examination on patients.

They do not even know how to measure BP, how to draw blood and how to give an injection despite being in 3rd year. Even a first year nursing student in UK knows how to do all these. Unbelievable! The other issue with China is THE TRAINING. Chinese Drs most of the time don't traine foreign students in order to be indepedent as a consultant or a surgeon. No residency program no fellowship. You find some such as fudan who allow you to work under an attending suppervision, my experience was great. Wards like gynecology...night shift...most of the time things dependant on the attending who you work with. If he is nice he coaches you until you take responsabiblity. The license exam isn't a must which is also bad as itt refrains your practice. So it's not only about advertising universities but THE TRAINING, most of the ppl i know who did their med school had to wait until they went back home to feel a FULL surgeon or gynecologist. My emphasis is on surgical specialties and even nephrology. The universities are great but the Training is yet undesirable.This is the part that should be improved. Been there...and very fewchances to work there too....In conclusion master chinese, if you do internal medecine and non surgical specilties its fine. The school should make it as a rule foreign students must sit the 医师执照. And we need to be genuinely trained in order to either go back as confirmed dr and not IMG whob still need training.

@@yona.x i speak from experience ,mbbs in china is a self study program, no real monitoring , exams are only at the end of the semester which means no strict and real medical education environment , rules are if u like in kindergarten meaning , if u fail ur exam its ok u can do a make up and if u fail again another make up, which makes mbbs a nightmare for most students, being away from your family and being in easy to pass med school means 70 percent failure when you come back home ,I advise to think again , you can go to Pakistan instead though I'm not from Pakistan but some of my friends studied there ,even Egypt is better , china is great country but definitely not for medical studying , for Chinese language and some other major maybe its a great option ,as long as ur major is in Chinese not English the quality of teaching is way better

I go to Capital Medical University. There's a few untruths in your description of the school. 1. It's extremely unlikely non-chinese will get into research in CCMU. 2. Study-abroad exchange programs are non-existent. Partnerships are usually one-way. 3. The premedical course is NOT required. They waste an additional year with English and math class that they will do again in Year 1. There is systemic racism against foreigners from administration. They will call a mandatory class meeting just to berate and scream at you. They will try to expel you for the most trivial of reasons. This is a place that you need to survive if you come here.

thats a good question. Well if you look at the average Chinese doctor (in all parts of China) that would be about 1000 USD per month, but working in a top international hospital in a big city would be more like 7000 - 15000 USD per month (according to international standards). Most international students do go back to their home country after graduating. However we can do another video about career opportunities for medicine in China if you are interested to look into it.

Actually, I think if you want to apply for chinese university. You actually don't need to care too much about the tuition fees. You just need to care about whether the university is 985 or 211.清华and北大>C9>other 985>211。big city（北京，上海，广州） is the best。 trust me . I am a Chinese student。

From all the comments I have been reading.. It doesn't look like china gives proper medical exposure to it's students. I was also going to try Guangzhou uni but i changed my mind. Sis i think it's best that we find another country..

@@Parishaa_s yeah.. I have Russian med uni Crimea federal as my first priority for now and for second it's xiamen, guangzhou and kunming of China.. First it was Bangladesh when I thought of studying abroad but it's too chaotic and only for buying things I will have to go all the way to Dhaka so i dropped the idea..

@@ChinaAdmissionsThe MBBS degree originate from the UK and the countries that adopt it are mainly ex- British colonies like the Commonwealth countries(Singapore,Hong Kong,India,etc). I'm just surprised China decided to adopt the MBBS degree as most other countries award the North American MD degree qualifications. It's a quirk of the British qualification that doctors with the MBBS degree technically hasn't got a doctorate in medicine but only a bachelor's degree so the Dr title is a courtesy one! A further quirk of the British medical system is that specialists in a medical specialty or Consultants (ie highest position in a hospital) are addressed as MR and not DR to differentiate them from lesser qualified colleagues!
