I play in Injustice 2 Pro Series, why am I here? Lol Serious note, I can't agree more with #4 and #2 There have been many new players I've come across that are trying to learn every character in the game, without actually mastering one character. Decent knowledge of a character is great, but if you aren't practicing enough, you won't be very good And with number 2, sooo many players(sometimes myself included) think that just because they can pull off combos in practice means they are going to do great during a real fight...Wrong. Very nice video, I myself practice with new players to help them get better and I can say this list was pretty spot on! 👏🏻

Yeah, I'm soooo guilty of having done all these 'No Nos' since I'm still new to fighting games, but I recently discovered a few days ago how important it is to not break the #6 rule: meter management. I didn't realize just how important meter was until I got late into matches I could've/should've won, yet I lost them because I didn't have any meter left when I needed it most, while my opponent still had his. Injustice 2 is my very first fighter-ever-which I only picked up about a month ago. I suppose you could say I'm lucky since I've had a very rapid rate of advancement thus far because the two friends who urged me to get this game are very, very good fight game players who've accelerated my rate of progress. I can only imagine how frustrated, bewildered, and discouraged I'd be now if I didn't have anyone to help me navigate the complex density of fighting games, and the complete focus and dedication these types of games require.

As a new player, I'm wondering if there are any tips or tricks for learning how to anticipate your opponents moves? This is the thing I have the hardest time with as a new player because I am still learning the controls beyond the most rudimentary levels(I am also on PC, which makes some of the blocking and important timing of certain actions a bit more difficult than with a controller, imo), and so I am finding that it is all alot to keep track of at once. I understand that skills of that nature are mostly accrued through time and practice, but it would be nice to have a few pointers on the brain while I am learning the game.

A tip for multiverse that a lot of friends of mine don't know I want to share, due to how good it is for practicing and refining how you play. When in a boss match (where there is only 1 opponent with only 1 bar of health rather than 2) never waste your meter on a clash. Regardless the healing/damage will be 0

I like your perspective. Curious about your opinion - are there any such things as cheap tactics in winning? For example. Wonder Woman's basic teleport low special. Easily countered simply by ducking. If it keeps working, is it immoral to use it? Or should you "feel bad for the sake of competition" or something that your opponent can't figure out when to duck?

I button mash because my hands are too small to press forward backward or backward forward in quick succession so I have to put my hand in a different position where my fingers are only on those 2 arrows on the d pad and smash bf/fb as quickly as possible to do a special move with those buttons

My Raiden is my beginner helper. He’s my main and once I hit 20, I got his static traps. Knock me back, that’s a static trap. After, I go up close, kombo, then put my second trap. 90% of the time they get hit. I then get my 38-41% kombo. I’ve played players who are really good but fall for the traps. I realized I was becoming a spammer so now I use it when I knock down opponents or just to end kombos. I love his static traps, but I feel like it’s making me become the one thing I swore to destroy.

Other common mistakes that I used to make or am still fixing 1. Standing still in right in front of opponent 2. Standing still for too long 3. Not moving myself to an advantage position 4. Assuming the fight is over just because my opponent is an entire health bar or so ahead of me 5. Forgetting that my finishing move needs to be unleashed when there is no way my opponent can block it 6. Trying to use moves or combos that I'm simply not familiar with 7. Not continually searching for a way to keep my opponent from attacking me 8. Assuming I can just cruise my play on autopilot because I am an entire health bar or so ahead of my opponent and assume I'm going to win because of it

Hey guys, I really need some help. I love playing inj2, been playing jt since the game was released. However, my i can never ever seem to get combos off. I use a standard xb1 controller. For eh, supergirl's b1,2, qcf2(mb), b3, j3, f2, 3, d1+3. I am NEVER able to get the f2 onwards aft the j3 and I really don't know why. I know that injustice 2 has a werid combo system where you have to press the butto before the hit hits, but I am doing it as fast as I can but supergirl always stands still after the j3. Is it my controller? Or is it my timing? Hope someonecan help

For me the number one mistake is being a robin main from day one, and some how receiving every ability besides the staff. Lol i know this ain’t a mistake but it’s gotten to the point where i feel like i should play another character.

One of them should be using the analog stick to move and preform combos instead of the D-pad

That is an interesting idea, but this is more about in game mechanics than controls, cause some people might have arcade sticks.
