Good riddance, its almost like it's overhyped

Because it's not really utilized in actual projects, needs more time and exposure

It's still winding up. If we compared its age to every language on this list, it would be younger than the youngest language (Go) by 6 years in terms of official 1.0 release. It has amazing adoption overall, and we're seeing lots of projects for distributed systems adopting it so I don't think calling it overhyped is valid. Microsoft just recently had to reword a job posting recently because a bunch of dotnet devs got the impression Microsoft was rebuilding all their distributed systems on Rust lol, but it was just a few very sensitive ones.

Quite surprised Ruby did make it. Python occupies mostly the same role. I would have expected Rust instead of Ruby.

I always find these lists deceptive. It's not your fault there's just so many nuances. Like experience, industry, technology stacks and geography.

of course there would be nuances, you are gathering data worldwide afterall and it's impossible to get a same numbers data on each country

Nice 👍! I started learning Python and then started looking into IT because investigated about cyber security and now I'm looking into Android development... I just like all technology... 😅 Taking the Google IT support certificate currently and learned that working as a help desk I could get paid to learn actually. Not sure what to do... 😢 I know each technologies are in there own but just need something to learn asap and be job ready!! 😢😢

I find this a little deceptive cz you could put js at the top if you also include its frameworks like react. Go is actually been in more demand for system programming. Java is mostly used in legacy services where it is difficult to move on from spring.

@robertsandiford62233 ай бұрын
@@soumcaranormal6699 If you're going to work as a back end dev, it really doesn't matter if you know JS. The question is whether someone will hire you as a pure back ender. If you want to make full apps on your own, it just makes sense to use TypeScript for front + back. Some companies will want to hire full stack devs that can cover a bit of everything (but I would avoid those roles personally if they want to use different languages front and back end, but still have devs do both). So mostly comes down to what job you get. If you can get a pure back end role using a language you like, that's pretty nice. Otherwise don't worry too much, apply somewhere and learn things as you need to, your career will take you one way or another.
