I worked at valleyfair back in high school…2000, 2001. When Wild Thing was new, (actually, it came out in the 90s). Great list, and yes, Renegade is the best, by far!

Valleyfair is my home park and when I went this summer I went late season and Excalibur was not open and steal venom was not either which in my mind are okay because I do not like either one of them I completely understand where you're coming from on wild thing though it is still quite fun in my opinion and better to ride in the back but renegade is my absolute favorite roller coaster I have ever been on and still stands

The more I ride Wild Thing the more it slips in my rankings. I still love it for nostalgic reasons (it made the enthusiast I am today) and I can totally understand your point of view. Wild Things biggest flaw for me is just how inconsistent it is. I’ve had some good rides on it with all of the hills delivering airtime but then the next time I ride it the airtime is lackluster. Also fun fact: Wild Thing wasn’t even supposed the be built at Valleyfair, according to an interview with Valleyfairs maintenance director Wild Thing was supposed to go to Dorney Park but they couldn’t get the permits fast enough so they sent it to Valleyfair last minute. That’s another reason why Wild Thing is flawed, it was rushed

My favorite roller coaster there is Renegade followed by High Roller, Wild Thing, Steel Venom, Mad Mouse, Corkscrew and Excalibur.

And Excalibur had no airtime for me when I rode it in 2019. I remember it being very boring and painful. I need to give it another try but it was closed for the season when I was there in early September

I have been on both, renegade has the better airtime and the better layout. i do like mystic but renegades weird sideways airtime and powerful ejector is just amazing

For VF, if you're trying to ride excalibur, it was open all summer up until september. In october, it was open during the day, closed at night. Whenever I went, it rarely ever has a line and it looked like there wasnt a second train for the ride in storage. Maybe I am wrong though.

7:59 I completely agree with you. All four of the smaller parks in the chain have something great going for them. -Michigan's Adventure has an elite woodie, decent SLC and Corkscrew, and a nice supporting family lineup -Valleyfair has an elite GCI, elite Arrow, intense Intamin, decent hyper, and some good family rides -Worlds of Fun has a great GCI and B&M with a nice mix of family and thrill rides afterward -Dorney Park, while not having a standout, has an amazing lineup with two B&Ms, one Morgan Hyper, a PTC, an Intamin, and a Mack.

Tbh wild thing is my favorite Morgan hyper since I once rode it without the mid course trims hitting nearly that hard. Literally had more airtime in that final run of hills than in apollos chariot

I don't know if I would describe Wild Thing as a supporting coaster. For enthusiasts, definitely, but for the general public it's the standout ride due to its size and visibility (as opposed to Renegade, tucked away in the back of the park).

I always wished power tower added a fourth tower where everyone would go to the top slow like the red tower, but once they got to the top it would randomly drop each person one at a time

I was here for 2 days and Excalibur was closed both days, so their lineup felt a little top heavy, since Renegade is in my top 10 while the other coasters are just fun rides, but nothing too special. No bad rides tho, and I had a great time here

the plan was to go to Japan in 2022, but because we don’t see them announcing a reopening date to Americans anytime soon, and even those who are vaccinated, we’re pushing it back and planning Europe for next year instead.

hi i love ur videos a lot but one thing i noticed u do that could offend someone is using the word bipolar, rather than polarizing. using this could hurt a viewer with bipolar disorder, so if in the future u could use “polarizing” instead that would be great:)

Out of curiousity, why didn't you include Kings Island in your adventures this year? Seems like you went to alot of inferior parks, not to knock on any of them, but Kings Island truly is world class

I think the largest reason as to why is because going to Kings Island also means I *must* go to Kentucky Kingdom and Holiday World with it. these aren’t the easiest parks to just fly into a near by city and uber to, especially Holiday World, so i’m saving it for next year
