When your humidity is to low when you seeds pop up out of the soil the helmet wont come of because its drying out. If you leave it on your first leaves will dry out to and your seedling will die. Just take your spray bottle and spray 2 or 3 times on the helmet. Do this maybe 5 to 10 times a day and do this for 2 days. The helmet will open a little bit and and take a tweezers and pull it of gently. You can feel it with your tweezer if the helmet is soft enough to pull it of. When its not keep going with the spray bottle. Did it maybe 30 times and never had any issues. Same goes for the membrane or film whatever you call it.

Never thought of it being 2 dry. Good tip

It isn’t just about being to dry, I’ve had them come out of root riot cubes in a germ dome with the head still on it. It happens if you don’t plant them deep enough as well. Nature is nature, sometimes toull have seeds that are different and won’t shed there helmet.

Bonus tip. I have my lights come on at 6pm and off at 6am to combat the heat. This keeps my lights on temps down and my lights off temps few degrees cooler. Also it’s a lot cheaper electricity rate at night than in the day

Came here to say this. 7-7 myself but it’s all the same concept. Lights on at night. Definitely helps with tent conditions and electricity bill.

Good idea tbh, thought about that myself. My lights come on at 6am and go off at 5pm but by the time i thought about flipping the cycle around i was already mid flower and didnt wanna risk messing things up. Ive been dealing with low to mid 80s during the day but my ladies seemed to have handled it well

Another tip for the seedling helmet. When your put your germinated seeds in your soil witch your keeping really moist at this time put your seed al little bit deeper in the soil so the helmet is good moisturized and you you have more chance your seedling is poppin up without the helmet. When it pops up just a little bit with the helmet put back a little soil on top and keep the soil moist.

I use the HLG blackbird in my flower tent and youre not wrong about those wave lengths at all! The brand Hlg especially makes a lot of lights targeted for flower or veg. They have some full spectrums. A lot of your general grow brands do mostly full spectrum (vivosun, ACI, Mars Hydro) but brands that only make lights are usually more spectrum specific in my experience. The LED grow lights depot youtube channel is a great source of information regarding all lighting on the market!

The seed husk. I agree. Maybe spray it with water and keep a cover over it. To help soften seed husk. Had 2 seeds that did that. I tried to help one by prying it off. I failed. I was hoping for some outdoor summer grow tips.

much easier if you prepare everything beforehand. RO or at least filtered water for evap coolers/ humidifier will have a huge reduction in Mineral build up. The evap coolers are fantastic. If you need AC & Humidifier Simultaneously. They are also a lot more cost-effective.

You should do a review or test on different under canopy and side lighting systems, comparing the results and efficacy. The only content creator that has made a video about UC lights is Terpy highs, I'd love to see results before getting any.

@morbidangel375 ай бұрын
A candle will give you all the CO2 you'll need use a pan with water for safety if by chance it cracks something else to try for keeping your soil irritated small air pump a few T's a one way valve place hose ends in the soil outer edge or just ruffle your dirt regularly also check out your seed banks some are starting to sell clones.

I checked out phylos website you brought up a week ago, or maybe two weeks ago. Did you get the 50 pack of cheddar cheese, or where you able to switch how many seeds you wanted? For every single strain on the site only have the 50 pack seeds. I already still have 13 different genetics from different companies, but still like to pay attention to different strains, and genetics. Have seeds still from beginning of 2022 from ilgm they still pop. I have been writing a list of future strains I want to try

@@slitherman7883 the plant will take up the garlic in his " blood stream" witch makes the juice in youre leaves unattractive for everything that wants to suck out the juice in your leaves. Works for thrips and spint and leave minors.
@PP-uk4pv5 ай бұрын
Not sure but if you squeeze garlic and you mix it with you water it may work to. If youre dealing with thrips right now, give it a try. Why not. When i smell my product.....put a lot of garlic in it. And last week or 2 weeks you flush it out like the rest of the nutrients. Maybe it helps when you put mint, Lavender, Rosemary or basilicum in your grow space.
