@@TheDiceTreasures Pretty much all of them really haha. I've only just got interested again in board games since I was a kid. I always thought of them as casual, family-friendly types like Monopoly, so great to finally discover there are ones that basically play like video games too!

@@bleedthesecolours It's a true joy to hear that this video unveiled a whole new realm of board games to you! Yes, now days board games are as cool as video games. I play video games as lot as board games and.... you, know sometimes I cannot say which one is better... I mean mechanics obviously are different and technically they are different, but if we talk about fun and how addictive, well designed, interesting and captivating they are... well, then I personally would put them both on one shelf. Now days board games are try piece of art and some of them are ... sometimes even more interesting then video games. On top of that many of them you can play solo and believe me - its fun! I'm glad that you found this video useful. Consider to subscribing, cause here are more interesting videos to discover and loads are scheduled ahead. By the way if you are interested in horror board games and probably dungeon crawlers, here are two video suggestions: Best Solitaire Dungeon Crawler Board Games kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2fagZuNj7Glj7c Best Horror Movie Board Games of ALL TIME kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGGQin2OarGEbrM Stay tuned!

Zombicide is pretty fantastic if you have a good group but the issue I've had is that some people take forever to make a "perfect" move and so the danger is zero and time spent doing nothing is high.
@haxan6663 Жыл бұрын
Most of these games are amongst my favourites, especially Nemesis, Cthulhu DMD and Zombicide (in all it's forms). Bloodborne, which I love, has it's scenarios made up into individual campaigns. There is no progression from one campaign to another, with Hunters always starting from scratch. The asymmetry between the Hunters and the way they play, is a positive. Unfortunately the core game only comes with 4 Hunters. More are available with the expansions, but some of these were Kickstarter exclusive, and so they will be expensive.

Great list, I missed Kingdom Death : Monster, a great horror survival boss battle civ game and deep madness, a horror dungeon crawler.

Hey there! Thanks a bunch for checking out the video, your good words and for sharing your thoughts! It's awesome to hear you enjoyed the list! Kingdom Death: Monster and Deep Madness are fantastic additions! I totally agree, those games bring a whole new level of horror and strategy to the table. The combination of survival, boss battles, and deep exploration in Kingdom Death: Monster is truly unique, and Deep Madness takes the dungeon crawler experience to chilling depths. These are indeed colossal games! I appreciate you comment! What's your favorite aspect of Kingdom Death: Monster or Deep Madness? And if you have any other horror board games you'd recommend, feel free to share!

@@TheDiceTreasures I always wanted to own a copy of Shadow Over Brimstone. I've done a painting commission for Nemesis and some of its expansions. I've owned the Arkham Horror. My takeaway was Claustrophobia. I'm really grateful you turned me onto that one.

@@josephshriner2850 wow! Does that mean that some of Nemesis artwork is yours? I love Nemesis, one of my favorite games in this list. Another is Alien: Fate of The Nostromo, and Arkham Horror is legend. To be honest I love them all, even those which I haven't played. Well, board gaming is expensive hobby. Much more expensive then PC gaming. That's great that you found something for you!

@@TheDiceTreasures Oh, no! I paint miniatures as a side job! I wish I was one of the artists to have done the art for the game or painted minis for their ads. I apologize for the misunderstanding. I merely wanted to denote familiarity.

@@josephshriner2850 Oh, I see! Sorry, I didn't got it straight away. Miniature painting, that's cool. Are you doing air brushing or classic brush painting? I was always amazed about how you guys can do that art... That's looks hard. Yes, for me it is hard, I can do photo end picture editing work, but when I take brush in my hands then ... well there is only abstract art that I could do ... :D I guess. That's amazing. I really appreciate art... yes, miniature painting is challenging... not so easy... I mean - figurines are small I believe those gamers were happy to get their Nemesis miniatures in color paint. Yes, and that game is great!

Mansions of Madness and Death May Die are horror games? I guess my expectations are different from horror games.
@TheDiceTreasures Жыл бұрын
It's totally understandable that different people have different expectations when it comes to horror games... The beauty of the board gaming world is that it's incredibly diverse, and what one person finds scary, another person might not. Mansions of Madness and Death May Die are definitely considered horror games by many, but it's all about personal perspective and what elements of a game resonate with you... What you would consider a great horror game? Do you have any recommendations that might align more with your expectations?

@@TheDiceTreasures Good points. To me I in order to feel like a horror game, I need to feel immersed in the story or the at least in the gameplay. I didn't feel that in these two, especially not in DMD, to me it was dice chucking with zero immersion. Nemesis and to some extent Final Girl had much more of that.

Yeah they are.

I see where you heading, but isn't it our own imagination and visualization that also allows us to immerse in the game? I don't know - may be I'm too obsessed with games that I love many of them and many of them... or in many of them I find features that I just love.... maybe...
