I'm late to the party but I've tried this game a long time ago and I immediately fell in love with Merula. Even though she was a douche-nozzle I knew she was just misguided, and cruel because she's insecure and afraid. But it was clear that she didn't "hate" us. I think at first it was more so like a force of habit. She didn't want to be outshined and vulnerable to our MC but then it was clearly Jealousy and vulnerability. Which is probably why she got "Friends" to intimidate us and say "Hey. Look at me I have friends that are better!" But patience is a virtue and you continue to be patient with her and she'll catch on that she can be your friend, and that's when she would gravitate towards you and begins to open up more. And eventually become a love interest. Sadly I stopped playing when I got to the werewolf fight. The energy bar and the long wait times were just brutal and I couldn't continue.

Hiii I haven’t arrived the part of Merula’s betrayal, but as far as I’m concerned she’s actually a double agent. Personally I find Merula much more attractive than Chiara (I see Chiara more like a friend)… so my percentages would be like 99% Merula and 1% Chiara 😅. I’m not sure at what chapter the dating starts, but you are in the right year. Many of the romantic events are time limited missions though, so maybe it’s just that there’s none currently going on.

I imagine that it’s because when you are a student in Hogwarts, you’re underage, and therefore if a professor dated a student that would technically make them pedophile… but by that logic, then it should be allowed from 7 year on since at thay time you are 17 which is adulthood in the magical world. 🤔

If I remember right, romantic missions start appearing from 4th year on! If your progress in the game is lower than that, then just play a bit more and when you’re in fourth grade you’ll start dating! 😻
