Unfortunately we went bust after this event, had to reduce size of event before and was a shame, many lessons learnt about business. Left for USA ,on returning the logo had been sold ........ as said lessons were learnt . Banging night. Life goes on....new talent but the Legend s are still remembered and never forgotten . Wow, you went, lucky you - if there was one set I wish I could have listened to in my rave days, it was the Lenny D set, damn. The amount of times I put his mix on at parties - apart from a few HMS sets, he set was one of the hardest around.

Universe didn't do any events out in USA, went bust in UK, and locals wouldn't allow it, ....ee tried, bit came back after being universe crew to discover we had one last bash, Big Love.....that's why were no marquee s, stages only and local free party sound systems dotted about, and that was that!! Was ripped off actually but I'm noy getting into it on here, Lessons learned.... big lessons, about who you work with. .... doing it right, but hey legend s were made, and still are banging today, still doing their thing.....love and peace

Me and my best mate went to this one and had one of our most memorable nights ever at this rave. He's no longer with us sadly but those happy memories live on, we always used to reminisce about this night. Went to hundreds of raves together after but Big Love always was the pinnacle despite its issues on the night.

Don't think anyone cared about not having any marquees , was a lovely day , night and morning. .. we all had a great night , but mind you after 36 strawberries between 6 of us it was all quite blurry .lol .. had great nights at universe events.. one of my all time nights was at Tribal Gathering in 93 ... mental night... thank you for letting us make history with you ..

Yeah we were behind health and safety turning it up after they turned it down. Was issues cos we suddenly had to not hav marquees n back to back stage s, the sound systems in past were planned so the sound waves didn't hit locals at he on bed. A sudden change messed up well a fortune in a tech bloke who we paid to do speaker direction planning..u grte?💜😁

Never been able to find a photo of that speaker stack on the main stage. Bigger than a block of flats! Glad they finally turned it up in the morning. I was standing around near the back at this point but the bass was still blowing my hair back. Guess it was sometime during this set. Guess size isn't everything, but modern systems look like bookshelf speakers in comparison.

Coming from Cardiff, Universe and Obsession were the Closest Parties to Me. Tribal was my First and Favourite Universe but Big Love was a close Second. The Outdoor setup with Back to back areas wasn't as Good as the Tent Setup in my opinion although it has been used in Festivals ever since. Mad P was on top form for this Set!

Sound had to be turned down (council) and Patrick got angry and threw the mic into the crowd, also it got turned down even more half way through the prodigy PA set!!!.

We were going bust, health and safety were turning it down cos had to suddenly loose the marquee s and back to back stage s and in planning speakers position s it was not done dur to going bust. It was planned for the original plans but we had to pull in the fences and loose lptsbur added FREE PARTY'S systems . locals, warp and DIY. Plus more. And more so do not knock us, we were right behind turning it back up. The sound..😁💜 Hellan

@@BIGLOVEHELLAN1 you know what I was so happy this event never had marquee's, this was my first big event and despite the sound issues it felt just like it should have been. Went to absolutely shitloads after this for the years that followed but none ever quite captured the vibe of this event(save maybe Lizard 3 dayer beach Festival in Carlyon Bay Cornwall, now that was one incredible weekend!) Still treasure the memories of this event, more so than the two subsequent Big Love festivals.

@@BIGLOVEHELLAN1 no disrespect I had a blinder of a night. The fact you went bust was a thing that went round. That was a shame. Law is law if I'm not mistaken. I think if the buzz was on earlier in the venue then things may have been different. I remember looking at the floor and it was jus covered in a sea of rubbish. You guys must have been well pissed off with the clean up op afterwards. Respect. Thanks for putting on a show . I will never forget. Xxx stay safe

The crew went out with John Kelly before they let the rest of crew went out, John Kelly went on to be a big hit out in San Francisco, no events were done, we were pushed out by local promoter s,after all it was. USA, after universe went bust we (me and Rob) and aa small crew of ten went to san francisco and Santa Cruz, doing anything to survive out there, ,did lil do's, were totally ostracized by the cling on people who before thought we were going to do a universe there, even the guy who set us up a place to stay,in Santa Cruz was trying to copywrite the logo, I enjoyed seeing O'Neal who invented the wet suit, he'd arrive at. Beach on a bike with a huge surfboard, a long white beard, father Xmas in a wetsuit. .lol Yeh we got an old VW camper van, went to Reno, and spent half the time in san fransico and santa Cruz, painted the blokes house to feed everyone! And buy fuel, really hard there being from UK and trying to promote, the damage was done first time over, the lads going out all arrogant and local s just saying no. Gangs, shootouts occurs often, like before a night we'd booked and again ,no biggy to club owners or clubbers. Just another night oyt in san Francisco. .....

We were doing free party's, festivals, I wSasgoing back az far a Stonehenge free festival, was a traveller, New Age Traveller. At the Punk stop the City marches and beaten by police 4 nothing, Reclaim the streets, right to party 🥳 & Kill the Bill marches including helping the miners who were striking & were too being beaten by UN idenfiable police in jump suit's at Stonehenge battle of the Beanfield, Operation Solstice so yeah I was trash as you call it.,spiral tribe, was with Circus Warp free sound system Traveller party crew. So...
