@@srshankar29 Why did you do swithch?
@srshankar294 ай бұрын
@@gasperovcak227 Well, among many, the main reasons were (i) Out of the box the basic features that a business needs are present without needing much customisation (ii) The Frappe Community and the Documentation provided are quite easy to understand and configure without knowing much coding. (iii) The interface is quite clean, all the basic form features are uniform across all doctypes. Good Functionality out of the box it offers country specific features and layouts (iv) Easier to find developers who can do the customisation and less expensive than Odoo. (v) The default workflow for most doc types suited most of my needs (vi) I have used Whatsapp Integration for sending invoices to my clients and i got it up and running in matter of minutes.

what is your definition of small, med, large businesses used in your review ranks? thanks
@evotool9 ай бұрын
Thanks Eric for your feedback. Having been intricately involved with F&O and BC for over 2 decades, I'm very surprised you don't have BC before F&O It's easier to setup, extend, maintain, has all the functionality and has a better partner network, it cheaper, and more scalable (largest Dynamics clients are on BC) and the consultants know more about their impact on other modules etc.

I think you should do separate rankings for large vs SME. SME would be interested in a tradeoff between price & features. Large is less price sensitive

We are currently using Acumatica, but we find it hard to get support for advanced issues. We have our own dev team for Acumatica (along with a VAR). We are considering the move to Odoo (we are a medium size business), and just having an in-house dev team for it. One thing that's frustrating is access to data in Acumatica. Also the WMS as well as CRM is very basic. Odoo would replace Acumatica, our HR apps, our 3rd party WMS, our shipping software, Slack, Our support tickets and chat, SugarCRM, etc. That's what an ERP should be in my opinion.

Overall agree with his assessment , however I don't really agree that Microsoft Dynamics can be listed as No 1 just because its used by both small and large Organizations. Surprised to see Open source Odoo so high , and in the top 10. Didn't really understand why Netsuite fell so much. he seems to be quite negative on SAP.

Can you speak a little on Sage 100c? We've been using it forever, back from when it was Sage Next, which turned into Sage Vision, then Sage Business Suite and now 100c. My issue with it is that it seems to be stuck in the year 2000. Still on premises, no perspective on ever going cloud, no new developments at all ,it's basically just keeping customers tax compliant and that didn't seem enough to me anymore. Is anyone else having this experience with Sage?! Also, their tech support has just gotten worse and worse, I'm not sure what is happening?

Some of these systems aren't bad, but in most cases, even with better systems, the 3rd party consultants installing have limited control over what any given module can do. 95% of the time, manufacturers especially need customizable systems. Everyone who has been through an ERP implementation knows the risk of a boxed system.
