Weylie, I admire your hope that your being more outspoken about cruelty-free products might inspire others to do their research about it too. Along the same vein, I hope you do some research about Veganism. I can tell you really care about animals and wouldn't want them to suffer, this is what Veganism is all about! Not only that, but it's so great for your body and health, and for the environment. You may have seen these documentary titles before, but they are packed with good information about the benefits you can reap from a plant-based whole foods diet, how you can help save the planet, and the cruelty farm animals suffer to make the food that everyone eats. Cowspiracy (this is the environmental side) Forks Over Knives (this is about the health benefits) Earthlings (this is about animal cruelty) Keep doing positive things

yessss. :D I just watched earthlings and it's pushed me to transition to veganism. the amount of injustice in this world is unreal and I'm sorry that so many animals suffer at our expense. it's not even the health benefits that's made me make up my mind about becoming a vegan; I'm doing it for the animals. :)

I seriously love shopping cruelty free! It narrows down the brands when I go cosmetics shopping! And it's seriously so nice knowing the brands that have such great products with out animal testing; it just goes to show how much we don't need it. The only hard thing for me is finding a good cruelty free conditioner for really thick hair! Any suggestions? And your hair looks amazing here Weylie ❤️❤️

+Chantelle Faith I recently switched to the Shea Moisture brand, I get it at Sally's, but I believe it's available at target too. I have super long (my picture is old haha sorry), thick, and dry hair and that brand is my new HG lol. I use the castor oil shampoo and the manuka honey conditioner. The conditioner bottle is pretty small and I have to use a lot, but I don't wash my hair every day so it still lasts me a while. Seriously game changing!!!

If you haven't already try Lush! Great range of natural conditioners, shampoos n hair treatments for all hair types and they really do work so well. You can go into your nearest store and they can give you a quick consultation to finding the best fit for your hair. After using their products I've noticed my hair is growing faster and I've got no split ends whatsoever! :)

I think the ban is only for testing the finished product on animals, and not the ingrediens, which does not really make a difference

They can't test on animals in Europe but they are still doing it in other countries, e.g. L'Oreal testes on animals in China = when you buy their products in Eurpoe you support testing on animals in China Same goes with Nivea and many other international brands Sad but true :/

For anyone in the UK. Cruelty Free International do a mini book/pamphlet with all of the cruelty free brands in the UK. Easiest way to check if a brand is cruelty free while out and about (especially as some are approved but haven't paid for the leaping bunny logo on their products) It's small enough to fit in your pocket or bag, and the book and p&p are free. It also lists which products are vegan/vegetarian and which brands are owned by companies that test on animals.

everyone who is breaking down the products down to the company behind it, you have to remember every time you go to the grocery store to buy food your supporting a company that has meat and products that involve cruelty even if you grew everything in your back yard the seeds you buy probably came from a store at one point.... but but buying vegan, vegitarian or cruelty free product your letting that company know you a a market that would buy cruelty free or vegan products over tested products. so stop worrying as long as the items you use arnt tested on then go for it!
@miriamcantu95848 жыл бұрын
It is however important to make sure a company you are supporting is 100% cruelty free and not "cruelty free unless it is the law." Companies like that use the cruelty free market as a way to make more money while they continue to test, manufacture and sell their products in cheaper areas that *will* test them on animals. Bath and body works for example likes to claim cruelty free when they are 100% not.
@kendrag.74748 жыл бұрын
yes as I said its important to use the products you know are cruelty free that way the supply and demand demands the corporations to supply the cruelty free products over nasty inhumane products. unfortunately its impossible to avoid animal products in day to day living. the screen that everyone is looking at right now to read this the glass is made from animal products. the windows in 98% of every house or apartment in the world is also. All we can do is do what we can for the animals and keep trying to find humane alternatives in the future.

Hey Weylie i love the fact that you are speaking up for the innocent animals, i have been cruelty free for almost three years now. But there is something you should know about certain cruelty free brands such as NYX. NYX (when they started) were a cf brand but they are now owned by L'oreal which means that L'oreal is the boss over NYX and when you spend your money on NYX products the money will go to L'oreal in the end and as you know L'oreal is NOT a cruelty free brand. Also Urban Decay claims to be cf but are not because they are owned by a bigger company. These brands started their brand being cf but are not anymore since they are now owned by bigger companies. Same story with MAC cosmetics they were cf when they started but now Estee Lauder owns them and decides their way of testing their products which unfortunately is on animals. Thought i would let you know. LY

Hello, Weylie. I hear you, girl, when you talk about your acne. My husband and I experience it myself. I can go with just toothpaste and clear my acne overnight, but my husband just can't. He has the most sensitive acne-prone skin that I've ever seen in my life. His face is clearing now, he just need to wait for the dark spots to fade. I really recommend The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil series. He's been using the entire series for about a year now. Hope this helps!
