I love echo. It's a 2 hour drive but I get all my trees there. Totally worth it because they are a Christian non profit company and are so willing to teach and show you instead of just sell a potted plant. Most everyone there are volunteers that have a real passion for it!

This was an amazing tour. She explained so much but it was all so easy to understand. The Strawberry Fruit tree looked awesome. That's cool that it bears fruit in under 1 year. That's a must-have on our farm now.

Finally a tamarind tree. I’m in awe of how much Southeast Asian tropical fruits are readily available in the United States today! 20 years ago, it would be “what are you eating” “what’s that smell”. I awaited part 2. It often seems as though Florida presents a somewhat Ideal climate for Permaculture principles to work, though they can adapt anywhere of course. Sky, we live in Poinciana, Florida and I turned our ( small backyard ) into a food forest and I have over 20 fruit trees, grow lots of herbs and vegetables. It’s a small backyard yet it takes lots of work to keep it going. Good luck and you’ll enjoy it so much. God bless

I have a quarter acre plot and have a fairly sizable fruit tree collection in my yard. You'll just have to be selective about what trees you plant, where you plant them and make sure to prune them. Though, it is possible.
