Just a quick question when you suggest leaving 3 - 4 yards of line to load the rod, does that include the leader, or is it just the main fly line?

Hi Darren, If you leave 3 to 4 yards of flyline out PLUS your leader. The main point is to not retrieve all the fly line in though. Its something everyone does when they are starting out and can be a difficult habit to break. Hope that helps, Stu
