Rancher owner here. You are correct - Ranchers are excellent. Honda ATVs, in general, are excellent. Great quality. I also own a Polaris Sportsman 570... love it too. They are just very different. Can't go wrong with a Rancher though. Mine is a 2019, so I don't have the new reverse lever - while I have no issue with the other style of RED lever, I can see where the new engineering can benefit people, especially when plowing. I have the IRS version with DCT and love that I can switch between electric shift and fully automatic. It's a lot of fun. I like your videos.You've got some really cool places to ride. Keep up the good work.

Lon R. how do you like the IRS compared to the straight shaft?
@lar.49974 жыл бұрын
@@futurechamp2 The IRS is excellent. It smooths out the ride considerably. It is a good fit for my style of riding, which is trail riding and sight seeing. I don't see myself ever going back to a straight axle.

@@lar.4997 Thank you. I'm excited to get one!
@ArizonaKid4 жыл бұрын
@@futurechamp2 im so happy you have looked at my channel and that you are asking someone else there opinion. I do not in any way know everything. This is all just my opinion. But I do agree with him the IRS is more smooth but it’s not as reliable as the solid rear axle . That my opinion .

All good points! I’m glad they’re things you like about the Honda. Of course they have the reliability. Thanks for the video my friend!

I've always been a Yamaha guy. My grandfather had an 89 Big Bear 350 and I put the miles on that for years. First time my thumb touched the throttle I was 4yo and I pretty much never got off it until he sold it to his brother when I was 14. He had it for another 6-8 years that I know of. One hell of a machine that was. Love the Grizzlies too but I've been drawn towards Honda lately and this is the one I'd like to get. Would like a bigger machine but I can't afford it. One thing I noticed also is when you look at all the makes. The 400cc-450cc machines have a starting price of at least $600-$700 more than the 420 Rancher. Most are $1000 more @ starting price. Not sure what the actual dealer price comparison would be.

I was also a big Yamaha fan . I had 2003 kodiak 400 and drove that forever and a Yfz 450 and wife had a 250 dirts bike . I’ve also tried polaris but this is my first Honda . I got mine then 3 members of my family got there’s . They could see I did my research lol 😂 can’t go wrong with Honda . Consider subscribing and please let your friends know . Lord knows i need subs

The new yamahas aren't made like they used to be, I'm a huge yamaha fan and I've still got a old big bear in the shed and I went to buy a new 450 kodiak and I ended up picking the 420 rancher instead

great video! In your personal opinion, which is better, the 420 Rancher or the 520 Foreman and why?
@ArizonaKid2 жыл бұрын
Been years now that ran both . Honestly only difference to me is the locking front diff , and I’ve used mine one time in two years lol 😂, but I do not have a fav . I’d buy both , like I said only difference is that locker and some specs like height and width and weight .

@@ArizonaKid Hello, thank you very much for your prompt response and your honesty! The truth is that thanks to your videos I have learned a lot about ATV's and I only had that doubt... Thank you for your honesty! Greetings from Alexandria Virginia.

Do you still have the Rancher, and if so, how's everything with it ?
@ArizonaKid Жыл бұрын
Was never mine , I stored for my nephew and we ride together. He still has and will maybe do a video update on miles and how it’s doing. . He isn’t good about maintenance and it’s still running strong !! Just goes to show ya how tuff Hondas are

I noticed my 16 is really good on fuel!
@ArizonaKid3 жыл бұрын
Ya , they seem to do well with fuel ⛽️
@TheFlatlander4402 жыл бұрын
Yep. My 2016 Rancher is great on fuel too. I use mine year around as a tool to haul split firewood and yard tools in the Summer, pull logs from the woodland in the Spring and plow my driveway during Winter and I only fill it up twice a year.

Hey man I need your opinion! I have been offered to trade in my Rancher 2000 350 ES for a brand new Rancher 2020 420 EPS foot shift. I would pay 4200$ in exchange (will get 3700$ for the 350ES and the 420 FM is 7780 $) should I do it?
@ArizonaKid4 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a good deal . But it’s all up to you buddy . Do you want new or keep the old .

@@ArizonaKid well, I would like to have EPS. And I could transfer my alu rims with the new tires to the new bike.
