Contactor vs relay. 15A @120VAC is the most for a relay to interrupt. Not so with a contactor. 1. High Voltage switching with low voltage control. 2. Relay can tell PLC when a motor is running.

To me relays are just Notting but scam I don't know without it what could happen to d component, take 12v n ground wire it to d relay, y not just wire it to the component at once hence it gona work same

They are not a scam. You can control high voltage equipment with low voltage safer connections.
