My Atomic Hawk boots are good but even on mild days my feet aren't very warm, the insulation sucks! I've owned loads of boots over the years and cold feet have never been a problem. Great content, keep it up.

After a wonderful wknd of deep powder tree skiing on my newly installed Booster straps and athletic gel insole supports it's nothing conscious aside from the more forward stance and tighter boot fit, but I was ripping trees faster & tighter than ever, sending off bigger drops, and my knees don't hurt much at all compared to last wknd! An especially favorite moment today I came in above a large pack of slow skiers who looked confused in steep deep powder & trees, and I just bombed right past them hooting & jumping! I'M LOVING MY SKIING!!!

LOL I´m one of those who asked about your skis. You know what, I bought the Bent 90 yesterday! I put the bindings at +6 as I wanted to have something close to TC. For more all mountain ski I already have a K2 Extreme. Thanks for the video! Atomic should rise your commission man!

I got the 2023 Bent 100's and I do NOT like them. I was very disappointed so i'll be selling them. They are light and look amazing, but they are not good on the groomers at all and do not carve. I heard the Bent 110s are better at carving and people speak highly of them but hard to trust now. The Bent's have some of the best graphics which makes them enticing in my opinion. Thank you for your honest review - i'll be getting those poles for sure!

i grew up racing and i bought a pair of bent 100s last season to be my all mountain freestyle ski. i hated the long radius, especially being a slalom specialist in my younger years, i love a nice tight turn. i found them pretty good off piste though. i mounted them 2cm forward of recommended.

I have the Hawk Ultra XTD and have the same issues getting them off, really painful if you get it wrong! (they are awesome boots overall, though). Another tip for getting these boots off is to twist the toe end of the boot outwards as you pull your foot out and kind of 'uncork' your feet from out of the boot/liner. Once you have practised a few times it's quite a bit easier and saves a lot of that painful pinch!

Thank you Jens, this is what we all waited for! However, you are not done yet, we need to see your freeride gear as well, bring those fat Bents 😀 My 5 cents on Bent 100. Have them for years and for a while they were my only ski in the quiver, including tour. I love them and yet they are far from perfect. Soft snow, regardless on or off piste is perfect for them. Hard pack is definitely not, hard crud and tracks as well. Powder, here comes the biggest disappointment for me. They are fine, but makes you work hard. They have huge amount of camber which makes it difficult to turn. I wouldn't say they are very surfy either. Tails are quite stiff, which is unexpected for such a freestyle ski. Touring is fine but you should have pretty strong legs for long tours. Bents and Shifts is a combination out of heaven. Mounting point is another tricky bit. Mounting them on factory ruins the whole concept of the ski. Now I have them on +2 and probably I will go around +3/4. I am not a park skier at all, but still like that center position on the skis. Length is another consideration to make. I am 174 cm and took 180 skis because they are light and easy to handle. Well, they are pretty true to size so this is on the long side for me. If you are skiing a lot of trees or tight terrain get them short. 180 is manageable but makes you work harder and limits that easy going nature of them. Makes them stable though, so be real with what you ski most of the time. I think sometimes there is a wromg perception of these skis. They are presented as super easy, super playful which is true, but you need the right conditions for that.

The Bent 100 is interesting. I picked one up this season (172) with more of a freeride use in mind. It worked pretty well, outperformed my former freeride ski, yet i second the point that it's not always easy to turn, especially the tail. My guess is that it's a combination of camber hight and somewhat short tail rocker for a freeride use. My bindings are on factory line, and for my style of skiing and usage, i actually think going back a cm or two could be interesting. There is a video of a Skiessentials trip (look up their channel if you're interested in nerding about ski gear) with Atomic where Chris Benchetler says pretty much that about the 100 and that he likes to go back for a more directional application, which is interesting. The Bent 100 is, pretty much, a "jack of all trades, master of none" ski.
@kokibr91
@kokibr91 Ай бұрын
Same experience here. Especially on 180 length. I love them, but they are far from perfect. This huge camber profile makes you work hard in soft snow.

Have you tried the Atomic Hawx Prossional dual strap? The adjustable velcro strap with the flex part two piece really quickly lets you change responsiveness. I find it much better than the booster strap. Also, my liner doens't have that red flex site, is that the XTD liner? my 130 professional liner doesn't look anything like that. As usual, amazing video with lots of info!

For me a longer radius is good, around 22-23m is ideal far better when you are going fast on piste or in the park 🙂 and stiff flex with low or no rocker, with no tapering toward tip and tail which reduces effective edge. 95mm under foot is for me the sweet spot, and gives the ski enough width for slushy days to ride along better through it. If the ski is put together well within these parameters and is a directional twin tip it will most certainly be a very handy all mountain ski. The Atomic Theory was such a plank. It is of course just a preference 🙂

I love my Salomon Stance 96's, really great mogul/all mtn ski; although a bit squared in the back so not as great for spins/switch. Thats why I now have last yrs Volkl Revolts 104s. My 52 yr old body was ripping the park yesterday on them even got props from the youngsters :)))
@theoutsider6191
@theoutsider6191 Ай бұрын
@@anthonyalpha4118I think your stance 96 will be very similar to my J Ski Masterblaster, which is all mountain focused a bit rockered and so on is 96mm underfoot but has a bit of tail lift so can ski switch pretty well, not like a park focused ski or the Theory i mentioned, but it gets by doing it. My preferred stick at the mo is Head Oblivion 94mm 🙂 And good work on being in the park at 52 🙂 I'm a vet as well, and to be fair still love to hit all the biggest features all day long 🙂

Thanks bro really appreciate you! I left the park 20 yrs ago, but teaching my 15 yr old niece to ski got me back in. I have Head Core 99s that're now my rock skis, I had Head Core 93s but lost 1 in the trees 1st day out last season, I was rather enjoying them prior. I haven't seen J-sticks out here in Tahoe I'm gonna research those. I do see Oblivions here they get good reviews. I see a lot of Salomon QST's but from what I hear it seems a more Intermediate ski, doesn't edge great I've heard. My Stances don't have a lot of rocker, but do have a shit-ton of camber. These sticks are so springy I used to think they're delaminating on jumps! SEND IT bro!@@theoutsider6191

Skied the Bent 90’s but the next season 2025 version. I believe there are the same as current year model except graphics/colors & enjoyed them very much as a non park skiier. The light playful pop & feel I was getting going down slopes hitting side trail jumps & doing basic jumps going through the park mid way going to the bottom of hill… East Canada ski conditions, mounted at factory recommended point with ski length reaching my forehead before wearing my boots.

@AZ_ 20 күн бұрын
@nikodemwolak9286 Haven't experienced any chatter on my end. It was a concern I had pre testing them but I believe that can be the case to a small extent if you are going down the slope in a straight line perhaps but then again that would defeat the purpose of these skies specifically. These aren't racing skies to begin with. Hope this helps!

I am 164 60kg I love the platform of Bent 100 but I would love to have it somehow a bit smaller do you have any recommendations.
