The values I have seen vary wildly. Lotus' in my opinion have always had lower spring rates with firmer damping but it's something I want to research for the project. If you've not already seen it, this is a great video on the S300 : kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmqpqqiQi5imkMU

I checked the archives as I never heard about the XJ220 achieving a class win at Le Mans. They did finish first in their class in 1993 but appearantly got disqualified for an illegal exhaust

tbh the bodywork is largely based on the SE but there is too much unique about the S300 for it to be 'based' on any particular model. If anything it was a European version of the X-180R project. Lotus wanted to emulate the success of Lotus USA in the racing scene and developed the S300 to be part of that.
