There was another reference when they drive again on USA, and Jeremy put the radio and the music was the old Top Gear one.

Yep, I was waiting for that one. IIRC, they were all listening to the same radio station (probably the only one they could get where they were at) and Jessica came on - and they all had a laugh.

The trios era on Top Gear was far far better that the Grand Tour. It's an entertaining show of course but at the same time I think the money has spoilt them. They had to be creative to make the BBC budget work, the Amazon money just lets them do what they want.
@jazzygeofferz2 жыл бұрын
I think it's more that they had to work within the BBC's standards as well, so they tried to be a close to the knuckle as they could in terms of how appropriate for the timeslot they had to be. On Amazon they didn't have the same restrictions, so sometimes they'd veer off into indulgent bits.
@voteDC2 жыл бұрын
@@jazzygeofferz I would absolutely agree with that. It's a small tangent but I always found Frankie Boyle far funnier on Mock the Week than in his own stand-up shows at the time because as you mention there were certain things that couldn't be broadcast.
@Mypenisissmallbut2 жыл бұрын
They spent 20 years on Top Gear figuring out what works… just for it to be thrown away and have to make the same thing that works but slightly different and the biggest change is more scripting and the lack of stig jokes. The scripting really ruins it for me.

The Bolivia Death Road trip might be the most suspenseful, followed by that trip they took up that mountain pass in (near?) Kashmir. They seemed to be larking about a lot, considering the camera crew also has to make it through production.
