Best thing about a VM engine is when you put a 300tdi in instead. Threw my VM engine in the scrap bin, my trusty tdi from my rusted D1 lived on.

@@garypoulton7311 I’ve been running mine for around 4 years now and do around 12k miles a year. Never had any issues with it that wasn’t caused by me.

They should have developed the v8 diesel that they planned for it - that said - the Americans proved that converting a petrol v8 in to a diesel is best avoided - the 200/300tdi was a vastly better engine than this boat anchor VM unit
