Always enjoy your videos thanks so much for making them want to ask if you still had your Credor Chronograph watch? If not, did you sell it and are you planning on buying another one? Also have you ever owned other Credor watches?

Thank you so much for the feedback! My Credor chrono is titanium and I don't intend to sell. I have a quartz dress Credor, ladies model, I'm saving for my buddy's daughter when she gets older. Some kind of gem based dial. I hope to nab the blue dial titanium Credor chrono but it's super rare. The only other variant I owned was the white dial in steel. Could not read the time. The only challenge with them is Seiko USA can NOT service them. They have to go back to Japan and there is no negotiating a "partial" service. 1,000 USD on this model. They are remarkably good otherwise! Best, D

Also related to Credor, will you please let me know your thoughts on purchasing links for additional wrist/band length to the Phoenix line of watches? I’ve seen a few of these watches online that I would like to purchase however, I need one or two additional links in order to the watch to fit. Greatly appreciate all your info.

Avoid short bracelet Phoenix models like the plague, especially titanium. The links do not pop, that I have ever seen. I sold a Phoenix to someone who said he was going to mill new links for it. That was ambitious of him, should have kept in touch with him and helped him sell to the public. Also, there is no micro adjustment and *most* models are integrated bracelet. Every now and then one pops with a non-integrated but I haven't done the deep dive to discern the variables in reference numbers. If you want me to look at an example with you to vet it, hit me up on Instagram. All the best, D

LOL, you've got it worse than us degree-wise but it's drier, ya? We were at 96 that day, high humidity. Broke a sweat walking to the car. I've noticed as I've gotten on in age, it bothers me a bit more. Stay cool, D

Hey guys, new subscriber here! I've watched a bunch of videos, particularly cause I'm interested in the Porsche Design top gun watch (then scrolling the channel I also realised I had watched months ago another video of yours, the one about the Bulgari Diagono Chronograph from Heat... funnily enough that's the watch, and the movie, that got me into watches only about a few months ago). I've watched all your amazing videos about Porsche Design and I'm going to ask an advice since you're an expert: at the moment I'm undecided... should I get the Dan Henry replica Alpha or Bravo? The new one will be available for the EU in a few days (I'm in Italy) at about 350$ and the alpha version can be found on Chrono24 at about 400/500$. I personally much prefer the first version they did, the alpha, because of the patina numerals and hands... the problem is I read that the movement was really problematic with the Miyota 0S80, now off production. The new version, while I like it less with the all white no patina hands and numerals, has a Miyota 0S00... and also it's a new watch on guarantee. I wouldn't want to get a lemon buying a second hand quartz replica... Any advice here? Thanks for your great content, I'll keep watching! Also: I'm getting a Super Squale Sunray in grey at the end of the month - I just wanna try it on in person first and in my city there isn't one, I'm gonna do it when traveling for work in MIlan in a few weeks - I fell in love with the piece!

Hello! Thank you for the kind words. Welcome along on the ride. I've heard of issus with the movements in both A and B models. TGV famously had issues with his A variant and he covered that at length on his channel. I was expecting the arriveal of B model to drive A's pricing downwards (was 800 USD and more at one point) but it hasn't thus far. I bought mine for around 250.00 USD, used. The most I would greenlight is $400 USD. No more. That all said, you have your answer. Get the A model. You like the look of it more. You can get the miyota fixed or swapped if something goes south and you'd have an alarm function. But...if cost is driving factor, then you'll have to discern if the service/swap (likely 150.00, email Dan to see what he charges, if it offers it) is worth the initial investment. I'd be inclined to walk back a few steps with you to determine your driving interest in the DH. Do you want a Porsche Design but perceive they are pricey and you're testing the waters? A good idea for sure. There are alternatives to the Porsche at 1k and under. The Le Jour often pops under 1k and there is an emerging brand out of Germany called arfino-watches.com. I was considering them for a review but couldn't get them to ship me one for no cost. A worthy alternate. LMK! Best, D

@@HobbyOfHours Thanks so much! Great advice! That's exactly the case: I like the watch, but not enough to be considering spending +4.000$ on a vintage one, whether it's Orfina or Lemania... and I honestly dislike both Sinn and IWC versions. Tag Heuer being the worst. So the question is now: spending 300$ on a quartz cheap Dan Henry version, or around 1.000/1.500$ on a Le Jour, and be waiting for it, or the one you linked that seem very well built and obviously automatic. I dunno, I'm still leaning towards the 300$... to me this just feels like a "fun" watch buy, not a grail one... my grails would be a vintage Submariner, a Carrera, an Aquaterra. While at the 1000/1.500$ mark I would rather buy a Squale diver or a Christopher Ward GMT. So I think it's going to be Dan Henry, I just need to understand if it's better the new version that I would get new and with guarantee or a used first version, which I'd prefer for the looks as I said earlier, hoping it works though - and also hoping to find one at 300$ or so because even now I see only above 450$, which would be way too much for that as you explained. Great stuff man, keep it up, I really appreciate the care you show with your community!

@@micheleazzu Got it, that makes sense. If a LeJour pops for under 800.00, grab it, it's great. In light of the other things you've said, get the A version when it turns up at a good price since you like the look of it. If the movement needs adjusted it shouldn't cost much and you'll end up having the version that is pleasant to look at for you. The PD's do pop for 2.5k and under but are quickly gone so a dedicated hunt could still result in a great deal. If you ever want to look at an example together write to me on Instagram. Thank you for the kind words & have a great weekend, D
