Once the season starts, it's too late. No time like the present to practice & fine tune your game, so you're ready to hit the field @ 100% when the season starts.

Hmmm... Ive probably watched about 400 videos on batting practice For Like the past 2-3 weeks I've been outside hitting off the tee for about 150-220 swings a day and let me tell you I went to my baseball game (And nobody swings right in my league) And so when i swung perfectly the umpire said, ''That was an amazing swing.'' ''Great Cgi. It was a pleasure to watch.'' After i rounded all the bases. I plan on swinging everyday for 100-200 balls a day for the next 40 years. The farthest I've hit off a batting tee is roughly 240 That said tho... I've still got a lot more to learn

The batting grip is so underrated! Great video!

Hey Justin! I just want to tell you that your videos are great. I'm coaching travel ball 12U for the first time this season and I've been watching your videos and learning all sorts of things to teach my players. I've always been a student of the game and I appreciate your insight. It helps to have a modern outlook on teaching fundamentals instead of going through the same drills I did 25 years ago. I feel it's important to the game to have a fundamentally sound ball club. Your instructions make perfect sense and it helps me transfer that knowledge to my ballplayers! Thank you! ⚾ #hustle

Great video! I was wondering do you think it helps that I throw a tennis ball against my wall and field it with a glove like a grounder or are their better ways to work on grounders?
@UltimateBaseballTraining4 жыл бұрын
That's a great way to work on it! Nothing compares to getting real ground balls -- but throwing a tennis ball against a wall is a great way to get better with limited space and equipment! You can make it more challenging by doing it barehand instead of with your glove
@drummerreviewss3774 жыл бұрын
Blaine W I do the same but when I get real grounders it feels like they have different bounces

We began aligning our door knocking knuckles this season and my 12U son went from batting .250 last year to .750 so far after 14 game this season. Huge improvement.

Hey coach medical problem. When I'm swinging, my upper back hip absolutely feels terrible. I don't know if it's mechanics, or if I should just be staying off it, but I was wondering if you have advice.
@finnm13704 жыл бұрын
I think its your mechanics cuz sometimes when i lose my balance in the box and swing it hurts

@LadyBandits-ci4uz4 жыл бұрын
Line up the knockers is, in my opinion, the best grip overall. Takes a while to get used to it, but your bat will stay on/in the hitting plane longer, therefore giving the hitter a better shot of hitting the properly.

Do u have any tips on how to hit fast pitchers throwing breaking ball
@Cole-fx4ex4 жыл бұрын
Ju Young Kim always expect a fastball so your not behind it. If a curve comes hold back a little bit amd sit on it. If there aren’t two strikes you don’t even need to swing. Best thing you can do is be selective and find a fastball that you like

The box grip works for people with very large hands. Others who use it will find the bat handle slide into their palms.

But I don't have door knocking knuckles. I've got Gorilla dragging knuckles
@rickgarner64324 жыл бұрын
I don't agree, you lose wrist snap power holding the bat too far out on your fingers You also lose some control. The great power hitters like Aaron and Mays got their power from that wrist snap at contact. Grip the bat in the palm with an overly strong grip and twist your hands in an inward direction as you squeeze. The bat will naturally go slightly toward the fingers but should sit more or less on the callouses just below your fingers.Your top thumb should naturally want to straighten. Look at some old pictures of Aaron and especially Willie May's and you'll see what I mean.
