My favourite bronze watch is the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date 80th Anniversary. The bronze works so well with dial colour.

Chris. Longines Legend diver with dark green dial in bronze, with no date and twin compressor crowns. 42mm l28224562 automatic with 65 hours power reserve on a slightly de-turned from 28800 vph. Also Oris big crown 80th anniversary edition.

Another great vid, thanks for posting. I’ve never owned a bronze watch, but that is something I’ll have to rectify this year, for sure, I love how they patina. Maybe the Glycine, it’s beautiful and affordable, but the Zelos with the blue dial looks gorgeous too. If I could afford the Zenith Flyback, I’d want to wear it back to front, just so I could gaze at that spectacular movement.

Great show, I’ve always wanted a bronze watch like the Panerai but couldn’t afford it ever. Your taste in watches are similar to my own. The Christopher Ward dial looks like it’s actually a textured bronze dial itself . Not sure but it’d be cool if it were. Great selections and reviews👍thanks.

Legend diver bronze is easily the nicest bronze watch on the market. I could've bought a way more expensive piece but the lld was my favourite so it was the one I got. It's stunning in person, no video or picture does it justice imo.

If they didn’t start the large watch craze, they certainly put fuel to that fire. I think they’re largest watch is 63mm. Imagine lugging that on your wrist all day😖

I also appreciate Bronze watches and have been looking for an affordable one for more than 20 years. Your review is commendable for including watches from a wide price range. However (here comes the ding) Watch officianados are eschewing function for fashion and complication. To me the end goal of a watch, particularly a dive or pilot watch, is accuracy. 'And you can't beat solar powered quartz movements for accuracy, reliability, compactness, affordability, low maintenance, and power reserve. The only things you don't get is the classic bronze case, workmanship, and presentation. So why spend resources on 100 year old technology? You may as well be reviewing pocket watches, hour glasses, or sun dials.
@mercoid2 жыл бұрын
I get the idea of the big crown on that IWC Big Pilot, as you explained it. But in real world wearability, I can’t imagine it not getting snagged on just about everything and very possibly getting damaged. And even damaging the internals since it is directly connected to them. Hard pass.
