Before you invest your resources into this deck, please read this first. Coming from a 6k+ and 18 wins player, this deck is not a good deck on ladder. 70% of the decks have a sort of tank in their deck, with royal giant growing in to popularity, and giant miner as well, this deck is pretty much going down to drain. You don't even need a tank to counter xbow 2.9, me myself is a miner poison player and i almost always get poison value vs xbow 2.9. Spell is also a great counter to xbow and many minitanks in the game, not necessary have to be giant/royal giant. Also, xbow is 1 of those deck that the community hate too much for it to receive a buff,so if you're using it, dont expect it to get buff any time soon, even if it does, it won't be a huge buff. If you're talking about F2P option, it's not like the old days where the only viable deck is 2.9 xbow and 2.6 hog anymore. With the trade system implemented last year, you can even have a legendary as your win condition. I personally recommend miner poison for f2p to invest in, as miner poison is 1 of the safest , most stable, and arguably 1 of the strongest deck in the game, or of all time. Don't get me wrong, i still think that this is a viable deck, but it's not a good deck anymore from ladder, and also in the future, as buffing xbow or tesla directly will gives a lot of noise to the community, the community hates xbow too much for it to receive a buff. It's also a fairly high skill decks that probably needs a couple hundreds of game to play it properly. I've seen alot of players invested into this deck due to the it highly labelled as the 1 of the 2 only f2p option, and highly promoted by pro players. Before you investing into this deck, please consider all of these.

Well said. If one is more comfortable with xbow, then icebow is a better option because it beats tanks. However it requires a requisite mortar cycle skill to know when to rkt and when not to better. I agree miner poison is the safest and strongest option for F2P. I myself play siege on ladder but icebow is the only consistent one i can get wins with. 2.9 xbow struggles a lot against rg lightning and rg cycle.

I am trying to learn 2.9 xbow from golem. It is very hard. I have spent hours in free turnaments trying to get good at it, but going 4.3 to 2.9 is to far in one run. I made a beatdown deck using many cards from 2.9 and I am getting better and better. I feel it is a good advice for people trying to learn oposite decks.

I play with thys deck and I love thys, abought when I get 6k gemplay is eazy but when you are on 5k in arena there you can play with Royal Giant Rocket mirror in one deck or pekka Rocket bowler exe. X-bow 2.9 is deck which can realy dominate on every mech when you now every positions but you can very easy loss when you do stupid miss click.

hopefully in upcoming episodes. but giant sparky you try to play super defensive, while against golem you try to get most your damage in single elixir

For golem you have to kite the support with an ice golem then kill it. Use a tesla to then pull the golem away from the tower and if your troops are still alive that'll help. Easy one, if he places his golem first play drop an xbow on the opposite side and he won't have enough elixir to defend it.

Ryan Williams yeah I do that but they end up building a big push on the opposite lane which I defend. If I don’t take the tower before double elixir it’s a wrap. Everytime I put the xbow down they drop their golem.

I'm now in a dilemma whether to use 3.0 mortar cycle or use 2.9 x-bow cycle. I've been using mortar cycle from its best season, but now I have a really tough time. It is always hard to get one shot on the tower, or sometimes I put all the efforts to get the tower in spell cycle range, in the end, my tower crashed due to opponent's heavy push. I'm now 5500, and got 4 cards maxed in mortar cycle. Overwhemed as I am, don't know whether to keep going on mortar cycle or not.

2.9 xbow has decent match up against pekka bridge spam just look at royaleapi, its not a easy match up but xbow should win most of the time.

Actually miner poison counters xbow. It’s one of my worst matchups

@@Legendaray The prince version 100% does hard counter xbow , but after the x now buff the valk version struggles (since you have to commit poison, log, and a valk/miner (10 elixer ish) to consistently counter the 6 elixer xbow ), you slowly loose your elixer advantage.) The miner player definitely has the advantage at the start, but it is extremely hard for them to keep up defensively due to them slowly losing elixer. The inferno tower does really well against the xbow, but it is almost impossible to make it connect to the xbow more than once, since they can prediction block it. B-rad (from tribe gaming) gets really frustrated when he plays against x-bow with the valk version, but he is really happy when he's using the prince. Overall, it is a long and hard matchup for both players (3.0 miner poison valk and 2.9 xbow).
