I left my hausband because of the same reason. He wanted insights of all my money which I earned and savings but his everything was in his parent's control. Even he bought house on her mother's name and his father was handling all his savings :D and they wanted me to pay their bills and he was not even talking to me properly still expectation was very high. So I took a stand and left him. All that this lady is saying, I have faced very early in my childhood and that made me good with money and because of that, I give money importance in my life just to feel secure in life.

@@ps-gh3hu Lol why this is always expected from a girl ? He was earning well, capable of doing his own expenses and his family too and most importantly, was not spending a single penny on me then why should I spend my money on him ?? This thinking shows how people in India, are habitual of taking his wife for granted

you are right even if the property is in his parents his name , he could have shared his hard earned money and have a mutual respect and understanding of your savings also, You did the right thing if they wanted you to be the man in the relationship , you have a right to leave.

I started reading books related to DSM-5 (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DSM-5), many girls who are not satisfied in marriges are getting diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome (autism spectrum) which are not diagnosed properly and treatment plans are not in place for those women and the society is convinently blamming the husband for their unhappiness. If you are getting married better both of them better get a blood test and psychometric tests. After "Amber Heard & Johnny Depp defamation case" we teach every young men should be taught how to identify and stay away from crazy women ( Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) and Borderline personality disorder (BPD) ).

You cannot start a relationship with money-centric conversation. Relationship should be built on love, trust and mutual respect. These are essential values of marriage. When you do not build these foundational values, then money only becomes the central focus. The only difference between a life partner and business partner is - Business partnership objective is profit sharing and life partnership objective is sharing love, happiness, pleasure, agony and challenges. Both are together in it and that's the bond. Somehow we are going towards the western capitalist way of life and everything is now seen from the prism of a divorce unfortunately. Let's stick to our culture and modernity is not about inheriting western lifestyle but living life with love, compassion and generosity towards our family and community. Marriage is a community affair in our culture and interwoven in the society. When we break away from these fabric and started forming nuclear family in silos, fractions started resulting in divorces for petty matters. My 2 cents!

Very important interview. Money and the changes in the financial situation of individuals in the marriage can make or break the marriage. The number of marriages that have broken because the men decide to marry younger more goodlooking women to marry when they come into money is a very disturbing trend. The men don’t care about the effect on their children because they want to share their new wealth with someone who they feel properly reflect their new status. The expensive marriages and marrying a younger goodlooking women is all a reflection of the changes in our society. It is all about displaying your wealth. Earlier money was for the family. Now it is for self. When someone earns more wealth they should want to share it with their current partner. Earlier people didn’t change jobs or cities often. Now with all these changes are effecting marriages. Yet people spend millions on their marriages.

@@DeeMiBa your comment show you are an ignorant man. In Germany because of the biased hypocritical laws against men, they are not getting married since they are afraid of losing 50% of inheritance to unhappy wife. So most men are having childrens with their girl friends (this is new normal). Here men are caring about their grand parents and don't want to lose family's hard earned money to unhappy wife. Everyone should challenge any law that undermine accountability irrespective of gender, race or ethnicity. Please educate yourself.

Very unfortunate. Marriage has become money centric. Today, it is not abour patriarchy alone. The girl and her family just get into marriage with their own ideas. Empathy, compassion, trust , patience is missing. Both husband and wife have to make efforts to make the marriage last. They want just the husband and son inlaw.

Too much business transactional kind of talking while getting married creating foundation of marriage on a very superficial level... earlier marriages didn't involve aspirational women..housewives , producing babies..ghar se doli uthna sasural se arthi uthna kind of dialogue engrained in mind - so marriages survived ! Today both gender are seeking relationships beyond mediocrity in all aspects of life.. however at the same time they have gotten deluded with farce delusional social media goals ! Worrying about pre wedding shoot rather than understanding responsibilities that marriage will bring! Money is important but not be all and end all .. building relationship on aligned spiritual values, having vision of life beyond their survival and social media show off ..will sail relationship through all lows and highs of life .. Two authentic and soulmates kind of life partners have seen Sadhguru - Viji ma , Jay Shetty - Radhe devlukia ..

This lady is saying the boy must have some property in his name. Now how come a 25 yrs old boy from.a middle class family can have properties in his name? As per this advocates theory no one would like to marry this boy? Otherwise parents will have to transfer thier properties in thier sons name? And these daughter in laws or even sons will dump the parents in thier old age . This is India, there is no social security or subsidised old age homes for parents. This advocate is going on all podcast platforms and advertising her own expertise.

Adults take a conscious decision. But what’s this madams role ? Break that relationship further ! Claim money from husband so that she can too fill her pockets .
