Okay I’m sorry but why don’t people put their kids in some frikin clothes. It’s not that hard to find a modest costume. And I’m not saying they need to be covered from head to toe but like if they’re gonna where these itty bitty costumes at least don’t make them hump and roll on stage. And I’m a dancer so it’s not like I don’t understand what kind of outfits need to be worn for dancers but I will tell you that my studio never dresses people that are this young like that. Anyway rant over, the dancers are still incredible so I guess that makes up for it.

I applaud you and your thinking! As a competitive dance teacher and dance mom, I COMPLETELY agree. These kids are incredible but much of the costuming and choreography is inappropriate. Kids should be (innocent) kids and let the talent speak for itself!

I’m a dancer myself, and we wear costumes like these so we have enough room to dance. It’s equivalent to a gymnast wearing a leotard. You can’t put a dancer in jeans while they’re dancing and call it a day, because they won’t be able to dance properly. It’s not inappropriate, it’s a part of being a dancer.
