I think you have to look at it through the lens of what is Walt's most important mission. His mission is to protect his family, by any means necessary. He is the consummate provider, and his cancer created a situation where that mission required extreme decisions. Jane had demonstrated that she wanted to have Jesse leave Walt, and join her, and threatened to destroy everything that they had built. She showed her hand, that she was willing to destroy Walt, he just had the opportunity before Jane had a chance to destroy him.
@solidzack51716 жыл бұрын
I think he wasnt supposed to be that emotional in this scene at first. Yeah I never got that. You folks miss the whole "Drug business leads to murders....a whole lotta murders." bit? You think Walt is a good guy? He's a violent sociopath who has no qualms killing a fuckload of people and tries to rationalize it with "I did it for my family." Skyler helped get him an out (unknowingly) by telling his old friends, friends who have a multibillion dollar business, about his condition and they offer him a job that would cover his treatment. Walt's foolish pride prevented him from doing the legal way. Skyler isn't a bitch, she's a woman who has to worry about her kids. Remember when Jesse was going to set the house on fire? Or how about when the neo nazi bikers showed up and threatened her to keep her mouth shut? Yeah, she's being a real bitch. I swear the folks who go on about what a bitch she is aren't emotionally mature to understand that Walt is the asshole. He flaunts his wealth like an idiot, she reels it in and admits she'll have to be the "bitch of a mother" again when she's actually protecting them. The reason a lot of drug dealers get busted is because they flaunt their wealth with expensive cars, jewelry, making it rain at the strip club, etc. Walt's pride is ultimately what makes him hurt those around him and alienates him from his loved ones.

Mike was right about the junkie, he turned into snitch. And he was right about Walter, he was a bomb ticking. He didn't follow his own advice "No half measures".
