The Igbo people or the Biafran people are an ethnic group native to southeastern Nigeria. The Igbo people are descended from Eri, one of the sons of Gad (as mentioned in the book of Genesis in the Bible) who travelled down to establish the present-day Igboland.
With a population of around 40 million throughout Nigeria, they are one of the biggest and most influential tribes. Igbos are well-known for their entrepreneurial endeavours, both within Nigeria and around the world.

1) Prince Arthur Eze
He is a Nigerian oil mogul, philanthropist, politician and the CEO of Atlas Oranto Petroleum (the largest privately held Nigerian exploration and production group). Nigeria’s economy is largely oil-dependent and thus, its richest people have major holdings in the energy and oil services industry, bestowing them with a lot of economic and societal influence.
Arthur Eze was born on the 27th of November 1948 in Ukpo village, Dunukofia Local Government Anambra State, Nigeria. He is popularly known as ‘Prince Arthur Eze’ because he is from a royal family, and his elder brother is the traditional ruler (King) of Ukpo Village.
2) Tony Elumelu
He is known as one of the most influential persons in Nigeria. Tony Elumelu is an economist and philanthropist who is included in the top 10 richest men in Nigeria. He owns the Tony Elumelu Foundation; formerly the chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA) and now heads Transcorp and Heirs Holdings.
Elumelu was born in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, in 1963. He hails from Onicha-Ukwu in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State. He has two degrees in economics from Nigerian universities, a bachelor's degree from Ambrose Alli University and a master of science degree from the University of Lagos....
