Its definitely an Amazing update but I have noticed my Mac getting a little slower. For eg-Opening apps and settings got slightly slower. I think another update can improve performance and remove bugs.

i completely agree with you, the laptop is ever so slightly sluggish with its animations in opening and closing apps. hopefully they release an update soon 🙂 But raw performance remains the same as before in terms of video editing and on board image upscaling using AI No heating issues or anything as such and battery life is also same as prior to the update which is a great 😊

sorry guys, does this slowdown problem only occur on M1 or also M2? Because I'm planning to buy an Air M1 but if there are these problems I'll start evaluating the purchase of an M2. I hope for your feedback! Thank you

The slowdowns aren’t as major as you perceive, it’s been a solid 4days since the update and I have been using the laptop daily for hours and it working completely fine Considering buying the M2 only if you care about the newer designs Also do considering subscribing, 👋

Hey Navy, I have finally recently purchased the MacBook Air M1 and you would be happy to know that during my research spree about the MacBook , you have been the creator whose videos I encountered and saw through multiple times, infact I remember the reason you have given on purchasing Mac in your video where you purchased the MacBook through the store that you like the sleek form factor of MacBook and not the odd titles of gaming laptops like "Republic of gamers" , etc. also the hefty form. So well one place where I need your help is that the MacBook is running Ventura, should I update it to Sonoma? would it not make it slow? ALSO my friend deliberately asked me to get a screen protecter and keyboard protecter, bluetooth mouse and keyboard for the same. I saw some videos which said that screen protecter would void the warranty of the machine? You tell please because I feel it is prone to smudges, the screen. They said that the MacBook has very less space physically when closed so if I put a screen protector that would reduce it even more and create pressure. I need your suggestions, brother. Also , subscribed!!!

hello bro I am glad that you watched such an old video of mine and remembered what I told, thanks and for your question, yes the screen is highly prone to fingerprint smudges and are weird ones which are harder to remove unlike phone screens where just one wipe with any cloth can remove the fingerprints. but I would still say, don't apply any screen guard or any webcam lens cover. It might just damage the screen cuz there is very little space as you told when the lid is closed. and I feel there is no need for any external keyboard cuz the given keyboard itself is great and a joy to type on. you can go for a mouse, but I don't use any cuz I love the trackpad and have changed the default sensitivity to max possible but I have seen many people using a mouse so you can go with that

What do you use to clean your MacBook? Any care to be taken? Also, have you noticed keyboard getting greasy/shiny after long term use?

The screens are on these macs are so damn hard to clean. I just try taking a mildly wet cloth and wipe the screen… it does the job by 80% but not perfectly Yeah the keyboard keys are getting greasy/shiny but at a normal rate like how it happens with every glossy finished key

How did you get Google and Spotify etc as widgets? It would be logical if it was to enable "Use iPhone widgets" in settings, but that doesn't work, or at least not for me. Any help?

I just read the Apple's official documentation on their website for their widgets As far as I can understand, those widgets which aren’t interactive will prompt you to open the widget on your phone. In simpler terms, it just says to use your phone to perform that task/operation. I guess those widgets are only for visual aesthetics :( Apple just imported all the widgets from the iPhone to the Macs even tho if it doesn’t work as intended :( And yes in the system settings, go under desktop and dock and in it, there will be an option to select/deselect the show iPhone widgets.
