カーペンターズさんの[ Top of The World 〜トップ・オブ・ザ・ワールド〜]をカバーさせていただきました。
この曲は、1972年にカーペンターズが発表した楽曲で、1973年にBillboard Hot 100で１位になった曲。カレンさんが、とても楽しそうに歌ってらっしゃる姿が大好きです。私も歌っていて、気分が軽やかに楽しくなります。カーペンターズの曲の中でもトップ３に入る有名な曲だと思いますので、カレンさんの声や歌唱のイメージを壊さないように、そして、カレンさんへのリスペクトを常に持ちつつ自分なりにカバーさせていただきました。この歌は、私には低音のところがポイントで、発音に気を付けながら、喉を閉めつけずオープンスロートを意識して低音をしっかりと歌うことを心がけて、今の自分なりに精一杯カバーさせていただきました。
This song was released by Carpenters in 1972, which ranked No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1973. I like to watch Karen singing this song happily. I also sing this song happily. The point of this song for me is the bass voice. I tried to put out the bass voice clearly paying attention to the pronunciation too. I tried to cover it as much as I could.

GREAT! 一緒に歌ってしまいました。しっとりしたTop of the worldですね。MiSAOさんの歌を聞いて思ったのはカレンの歌い方はしっとり、というよりは演歌というか水前寺清子のような歌い方だな、と思ったことです。そこで改めて「ありがとう」とか「365歩のマーチ」とか聞いてみたところ、あそこまで溌剌ではありませんが、たしかに似ているところがありました。
