Jessica: Slow down. Paul: Slams foot on the gas.

Jessica only has the vision of the female ancestors, which comes from drinking the water of life. Only the Kwisatz Haderach can see both the male and female ancestral lines and have full vision of the paths for the future.
@GilliganfrogАй бұрын
She didn't even know there was a gas pedal for him to slam his foot down onto, and he did it. Paul startled (and frightened) the F out Jessica here, as she realizes that his powers have now far surpassed anything she could've planned for. Bene Gesserits have a script, and Paul has moved the whole play off-script.

These scenes are chilling. Dune is a beautifully crafted warning against charismatic leaders, blind faith, and the damage they can do. I love that they embody this fear in Chani's resistance and fear of what Paul is becoming. "You will see...the beauty and the horror." It will begin to haunt Paul leading into Part 3 as his visions begin to cement themselves in the present. Can't wait. The Dune Miniseries from the early 2000's and Children of Dune include a lot more than these movies could and are excellent sources for more lore and world building.

@@noahwurtz9921 Honesty is also an important skill in life. Calling something as it is. It's lazy content while asking for a buck. Dune: Part 3 is like slated for mid 2027 😭😭. I seriously don’t like how media nowadays releases sequels or next seasons on average like 3.5-4 years after 😭 bro I’m not tryna age 15 years to finally finish a trilogy or to finish an entire show. Man ducking LoTR each film was like 3-3.5hrs long w HEAVY effects and they pumped all 3 movies out in 3 years. One movie a year, granted Peter Jackson had the entire cast do continuous filming w only small like one month breaks in between!! That’s dedication!! Bring it back 😩
