Would you consider travel social work? Why or why not?
@YanaLovee3 жыл бұрын
I definitely would consider it since it is a change of pace and it would push me out of my comfort zone!

I defiantly would but I have a dog (a german shepherd and surprisingly too many restrictions with hotel, apartment since she is not a service dog) and finding a sitter or boarding her at a facility are costly when you are away for a longer period of time. Traveling is my forte! But there's a lot of planning that goes into it. I didn't know you could do travel social work!

How is the pay different for a local assignment?
@preciouskolleena70743 жыл бұрын
If you look at those agencies you can look at local jobs within your area and it will provide you pay. I’m sure it’s still a good amount.

I have my LMSW and I'm licensed in Alabama and soon to be Georgia. Do you have to go through getting your license instated in every state or do these agencies assist you in that process? It's taken about 4 months to get my Georgia license approved. I can't imagine going through that process for every job posting. These do seem like good opportunities.
@preciouskolleena70743 жыл бұрын
Congrats on having your LMSW! That’s a huge accomplishment. I think it depends on the state. I know some owl poke have an easy transition when transferring their license. While others have a difficult time. I know for California you have to take an ethics exam before having your license transferred. So every state varies! I’ve always wanted to live in Georgia! Have you visited there yet before moving?

@@preciouskolleena7074 thank you! Well that's good to know. I moved to Georgia to live closer to my husband's family. So I have been here before. I'm just trying to keep my options open. Thank you for sharing all of your insight!
