Best months to visit would be between September and December. I haven't been to Chikmagalur in summer but, it should be cool enough.

Covering all these places in one day would be too exhausting. I'd suggest the follwing options for one day visit. 1. Mullayanagiri - Jhari Falls - Bababudangiri - Hirekolale kere 2. Mullayanagiri - Hebbe Falls - Kemmanugundi 3. Mullayanagiri - Hebbe Falls - Hirekolale Kere Each of these option has a waterfall In it. Hebbe falls is quite far from the city so choose based on your available time. Option 1 seems best for one day visit.
