I have 2x 5200mah power banks small like that one. When I was looking at the bobovr strap I noticed the batteries are 5200mah. My power bank attaches the same as the one you showed, works wonders.

These are very thoughtful and useful tips and tricks. I'm using a power bank for the extra game time and putting it on the back of the head makes a lot of sense. I'm going to try it tonight and see if it is practical for long sessions.

Yes, the box may be free compared to the carrying case that you can buy for it, but the carrying case is got impact resistant material in it versus the box. You dropped the box a couple of times your quest three is broken so there’s a difference between keeping something because it’s free, or keeping something because you’re a hoarder just do the right thing and throw away the damn box and actually pay for the impact resistant carrying cases

I'm probably gonna print those adapters tomorrow. I went everywhere trying to find the Elite strap with battery and all they had was the regular one. Most of the Quest stuff was wiped out at Target and Best Buy. I hope that means the sales are good. 😁

The fact that you're only getting less than an hour of game time on your battery is insane. I just timed myself playing as asgard's Wrath and I went 2 hours and 47 minutes before I needed to charge. That wasn't even letting the headset completely die I think I started charging at 10%

Will the battery from the elite strap (oculus brand) work for the 3? I’ve modded it without a 3D printer but the battery doesn’t show 2 sets like the 2 did. It just says charging when I plug it in. As far as how much if any extra battery life i yet to figure out. I just finished setting up the strap. Does anyone know?

After seeing yesterdays vid from JayBratt mentioning that the headset battery drains faster than it charges, and goes to low battery power, with strap battery still having over 50% of charge, I m quite curious: how is your experience with it? I m quite used to long play sessions with Quest 2 just swapping the batteries, so is something like that even doable on Quest 3?

That's a great idea with the battery pack in the strap! For me none of my battery packs don't charge my headset up while playing (it will still drain down to zero) so I bought a quick charge battery pack that's rated for the quest 3's wall plug. The wall plug does keep my headset charged while playing so if anyone else has the issue I do getting a quick charge battery pack might do the trick!

I need to know this, what if I just have a bunch of those anker powerbanks that plug right into the side with 5000mah and enough watts to actually charge the headset, wouldn't that give me basically infinite battery if I kept charging em? I mean they're only like 20 bucks

I just opted to purchase another complete M3. I wish they made 10,000+ mAh options though. I havent played long enough yet due to stock headstrap but from everything I am seeing the B2 is very ineffective and won't even charge the headset while in use.

Every video I've seen with the Bobovr m3 it doesn't charge the headset and generally doesn't even hold the battery at the same level.

The 10,000 mah battery I have that I used for quest 2 and it does actually charge the battery. However it is designed to work with the cloth strap which is horribly uncomfortable and makes the stock quest 3 downright unusable.

My silocone cover doesn't fit pretty much at all it bunches up at the temples and the nose part flaps around and doesn't fit. is there a trick to this?

Did you adjust the depth of the heat set? Inner buttons (4 notches) adjustable for glasses.

The Battery is a complete slap in the face to all the users. I wish everyone had just returned their quest 3 and we all demanded a better battery. did they really decide this battery was enough will all their 1000's of hours of testing, or did they just want to sell more accessories to us.

Well the quest 3 consumes a lot more power when playing demanding games. you need at least a PowerBank that can deliver a minumum of 20w. otherwise it will serve no benefit and the headset will power down when the main battery runs out of Juice! im using a 65W powerbank and had it running for well over 8 hours in a single play session

If you’re asking me personally, I wanted to see if Meta improved it from the previous generation. I just had to test it out and confirm to the viewers the good or bad news. However, if I wasn’t documenting anything, I would’ve simply avoided using Meta’s first-party accessories and opted for the more reliable third-party ones instead.

An interesting solution for glasses...Who needs glasses for Quest? The one who can't see up close or can't see at a distance? I ask because I have glasses for driving a car -0.5L/-1.25R. Thanks for the info.

In the lens cover, throw the fucking thing away because the more and more you put it on the lenses the more and more your lenses get scratched just actually get a lens protector just like if you wear glasses don’t be stupid. Just get the new lenses that are for your glasses type and put it in the VR headset, instead of scratching the lenses then you’re gonna be fucked anyway some of these things this guy says for hacks could be useful but most of them if you think about it you’re gonna scratch it anyway, the cardboard is just gonna scratch at the fucking goddamn lenses that are on the VR headset And from experience, you cannot get your VR headset to continue playing if you can’t see through it so just an FYI, there is a difference between VR headset hacks, and just people that are broker than a joke and don’t care about protecting their investment. Would you do the same things this guy says to your Apple VR headset that you pay $3000 for no so why would you do it to this one common sense y’all

As a consumer I find it offensive that the Quest 3 (from a titanic company) requires ANY "hacks" to deliver a decent experience given that the Quest Pro was immediately marked-down AND with the downgraded Quest 3 Lite was leaked and seems to be on the way. Why are all the VR KZbinrs finding the same flaws? What are they thinking?!?! How are they going to create fertile ground for 3rd party devs to feel safe to develop higher quality games (because Meta-sure isn't doing it)?
