I faced the non-shipwreck version of this build on day 14 as Double Barrel Nessa. Beat it just before I ran out of ammo. But wasn't able to burst it, simply outDPSed the shield barely long enough to limp across the line. My build was probably very var from optimal though, since I've never played Double Barrel, or watched any high level player play it. Though on the flipside I did have Shield Bash and Diamond Flurry of Blows so that's always disgusting.

Pearl is crazy - had a puffer without pearl but with waterwheel and got crushed.

I had this same build, with poison enchant puffer, multicasted astrolabe and shield enchanted pearl. It was so dumb hahaha I loved it

@tajsama the only burst that seems to work is a single weapon build with alacrity etc where you do tons of dmg instantly. I had a high roll where my radiant cutlass was criting 10+x for 3k a hit 1.5 seconds into the round.

I encounter almost the exact same build as yours, but he had Oceanic Rush at Gold and Freezing Pufferfish. Well I just didn't charged any item at all. like NONE. I didn't get any opportuny to learn skills to reduce freeze duration so I just watched my run end right there. The only build I see that consistently destroy this Vanessa build is Companion Core Bellelista WITH Skill : Mixed Message. The burst just stupid.

I think it would be really helpful if you explained the core idea behind your build at the start of the video, like just pause the image / take a break on stream to explain how the combo works, so people can replicate it.

They really need to add a counter to poison, has been an issue for a long time

I think, after playing for another day, that poison is quite bad this patch. Burst is king. Kill before ur opponent cant lift a finger.

@tajsama i just played haste dooley and put 2050 poison on a player, but the shield is just as bad, they had a 50k shield and i was doing 5k crits every 4 seconds, i saved the replay so can put it up if interested
