thanks you for this valuable information.. just one quick correction about air filter, you said to get it cleaned after 5000 and replace after 40000 KM..I guess it air filter should be replaced at the time of every engine oil change, or alternate oil change ... yes, in case somebody is using washable / reusable air filter, it may be washed and used again on need basis

I have Honda City 2006. For last few months even with same position of Accelerator and even road, the Engine RPM does not not steady. It increase momentarily and and then comes back to normal. Earlier it would start above 110 KM but now even at 60-70 KM. Engine running is also little noisy. I replace Air Filter and Engine Oil after every 5000. Gear Oil is also changed as specified. Auto Choke Ops is also fine with RPM shooting to 1500-1700 on starting, getting back to 1200 and gradually to 900 after engine gets warm. Mechanic has confirmed that Ignition Coils and Plug are fine. Engine Mounts are ok, so no vibration. Mechanic has not checked Fuel Filter but suggested to use High Octane. Can you plz advise.

I have Lancer 2005 GL model, I have changed coil, plugs, fuel gallery and Injectors, there is no missing in the car at all,Fans are auto. The car is otherwise smooth. But the fuel economy is same 10 KM/L in the city and even on the motorway. Advise what else to be done and checked.
