Not really, it feels empty but nobody wants to fight anymore so everyone is behaving nice and respectfully. You feel closer with the entire world because of what happened. It will bring peace and prosperity for the next century almost. If you don’t do it people become lazy and complacent on an international level and jobs that used to require 1 person now requires 10, everyone becomes sovereign and independant with a little hostility towards everyone. And eventually we barely have the will or capability to take anything serious and stupidity gets us all killed. Imagine that is true, we litterally have to fight to stay alive as a species.

The problem with Fiji is that it's ripe for the taking as a pacific supply base. The problem with *ANYWHERE* in Europe (including Switzerland) is localized nuclear winter effects from all the fighting next door (assuming WW3 escalates to at least a limited/moderate nuclear exchange. Iceland also could serve as a strategic naval base. That leaves New Zealand... Which the worst case thing that could happen is the Australian navy taking over their ports to try and forward-base anyone approaching from the east. They're unlikely to face *ANY* problems.

The winds will carry them around the globes, covering earth in a thick layer of dust and CO2, restricting its surface from receiving any sunlight and therefore heat. This is exactly what happened to the dinosaurs. The earth will enter a nuclear winter, killing off more than the actual explosions ever can.
