I was friends with this one girl years ago and she seemed like such a nice girl until you hung out with her and she would always try to one up you on everything, I knew she was filled with jealousy. One time she looked at me and paused and said "You are so beautiful." - but it wasn't a compliment it was more like a: "How dare you be so beautiful" almost felt like an accusation. These ppl try to dim your light constantly. Eventually your fire will be too much for them and your flame will expose them and you keep on rising.

As Professor Sam Vankin says a "dark empath" is just a vulnerable or covert narcissist. These types of narcissists have clinically been able to show cognitive empathy.
