Cabbage has been my favorite recently, unique really is a great way to describe it. The amount of details it brings out of the game is amazing and it looks good all around regardless of environment, time or weather conditions. One of the few ENBs I didn't feel like tweaking out further myself, just perfect out of the box.

Sure, it looks at my opinion the best in many places. Then it can still depend location and additional mods. Many ENB's are to colorful, or let's say oversaturated for my own taste. Will give it a try next. 😊

Imo bjorn is the most realistic looking enb, it might not have all the bells and whistles of some of the more vibrant enbs but it stays true to the vanilla atmosphere while adding some colour as well. It seems to crush the blacks really well, to make the colours pop out in a more natural way

I think Patricia and Cabbage seems nice outdoors. They have kinda realistic light bounce to them. Rudy has the most realistic looking fire for me. I use my own ENB+Reshade.

Considering Windows Auto HDR, RTGI, Reshade and a great HDR display device, I would recommend the vanilla ENB Two, other ENBs may vary greatly from the original color, but the vanilla ENB Two is improved all around IMO.

I’m using Vanilla ENB Two with Obsidian/Lux and it’s amazing! All I did was slightly boost saturation for a bit more color. I like how it’s not overly done with the color changes like how some of these presets have overpowering oranges over everything and kill the shadows overly black even during the day

beautiful showcase. anything that absolutely requires a plug-in is a no-go for me because I like switching on the fly during my play through. Cabbage is my main but Pi-Cho is a close second, but they’re different looks. The latter is noticeably more performance heavy on both SOLAS and NAT but it’s so cinematic I could never drop it.. And huge shoutout to Patrician. It’s gone now, but it remains the basis for my load order since it was my first preset since coming back to the game, and I loved SOLAS til I moved on from it.

Amazing work, I just discovered your channel and I have to say, you've done an incredible job at modding skyrim. I had a question btw, have you considered doing a modpack ? because I don't know for others but I'm truly brilliant at not understanding how to mod properly, and especially I have talent in breaking my game. Yes, even with tutorials and "how to" videos, I'm a genius I tell you. Idk if you do it but you shouldn't use Patrician with lux bright settings. Patrician already have his own settings for a better interior lighting based on lux. Cabbage, Patrician and the vanilla enb 2 seems like the winners for me. Great video!

I feel like a lot of people undermine how performance heavy Rudy really is. I would argue it's heavier than Bjorn. I've running RTX3080 with I7 5800X3D and while running bjorn I never experienced drops, it's was a steady 60fps. But with Rudy there will be times where I will drop down to the early 40s.

Great video! Can you make a video about E.V.C enb? It's the best I've ever tried, and very consistent in different situations (many ENBs lack consistency), performance is decent too. I tried it and I got very weird effects even tho I did exactly like the author said how to install it. Also all my enb effects of soulgems, fire, ice etc were gone and no matter if i placed them before or after in my load order, they wouldnt show up anymore.

Rudy will stay my favorite just because of how consistently good it is. It's a shame there isn't a version for Azurite weathers yet. I would use PI-CHO but the interiors just look way too dark

Question: When you say "it requires the NAT plugin", is that different from requiring the full mod? (IE - is that jingo for a patch you can substitute for a full NAT install? Or is that just simply saying NAT is a requirement?)

There's a weather plugin on the NAT.ENB III mod page that is required for those enbs, it's a weather mod. NAT.ENB III is also very good and I recommend giving a go

I am getting back into Skyrim and I have always used Vivid Weathers. Would I use Vanilla ENB 2 together with or instead of Vivid Weathers? My rig is quite old (GTX 770) but it always ran Vivid Weathers just fine.

How do you get your armor and the game world so damn vibrant? I pretty much coped your 2023 modlist with beserkyr too and it looks really nice but not super saturated nice. My computer is newly built and runs perfectly with 60+ mods with no frame drops or anything. I am super new to modding though so maybe im messing up patches??

I like that dark setting too but it made the interior of dragonsreach, including the fire, too dark. I'm looking for a more realistic darkness but still have the fires look like real fires. Everybody seems to like Rudy. I suppose the brightness could just be turned down in any of these ENB settings menu.

@@avatar19822 I'm using ominous now and don't have any issues. The creator has loads of helpful stuff so u can tweak it as u like. Also answers Qs fast on his yoitube channel. I've made mine to allow some more colour as it was too b&w, my night times are believably dark and the interiors were way too dark but it was one value to change in the enb settings to make them look right. Highly recommend this enb. Very somber but beautiful.

Everyone keeps forgetting FPS Counter for each ENB, if you are playing a very heavily modded version of Skyrim like Nolvus, each saved frame is a frame gained! There are mods like FPS Stabilizer but its known for removing certain objects from the world temporarily, but due to a bug it removes some permanently, so it should not be used under any circumstance unless fixed some time in the future.

Check your ini settings you can adjust shadows there, I recommend using BethINI. I play at 1440p but some enb will have a sharpness setting

So many enb's have to be adjusted as they have aspects that just dont match what actually happens in rl. Most will have bright white smoke at night when it would be very dark with just the firelight illuminating parts of it. The evening point lighting and window lighting is always super bright which is supposed to be lit by fire or candle light. I always have to go in and adjust every weather lighting settings individually as they never look right. The fog and mountain clouds always too bright at night. The weather mods always cause bright water falls too. There are fixes but dont really work properly. Fires are always too bright in day light. Or too red at night. Most if these things can be fixed with a little time. Its interesting what peoples own opinions are about what they think looks good or realistic. It seems people must see an effect and think ut looks better so just use it. Subtly is always better less is sometimes more. Real life isnt always over contrasty vivid colours even in the brightest sunny days.
