As an X civil engineer who used gps equipment that costs 10s of thousands of dollars that cannot do what these people claim there phones can do is hilarious. When you see survey equipment sitting for a day or more... That's right it takes time for professional gps Equipment to get an accurate position, when stationary much less when moving. And when its over this distance whether you are on the inside or outside of the road can make decent difference in actual distance. From what I saw in the video and the map at the end there is a +/- 2 or more miles distance actually traveled. Simply changing lanes increases the distance traveled. You cannot use any map app to judge actual distance traveled. And don't get me wrong as long as the testing is using the same criteria the tests are 100% valid but not accurate. These ebike and scooter people need to quit claiming there phones are more accurate than proven mechanical technology. If the on-board speedo seems inaccurate then you need to test it properly and correct the issue if possible. You cannot claim anything is wrong based on gps especially a cell phones gps, it is only a secondary function of that phone. And as I said, it does not invalidate any testing that people do. It is just inaccurate. And the little side station's that claim it makes gps more accurate also makes me chuckle. When in motion a fraction of a second can make a very big difference. Keep in mind the current position is dependent on the last position and most importantly TIME. The longer you travel at a given speed the more accurate your speed and position will be, provided there are no errors and it is still not fully accurate. And 3 satellite's cannot give you an accurate position. Our GPS box that cost 10 s of thousands of dollars could not even be used for positioning with less than, I believe it was 11 satellite's connected. There was millions of dollars at stake And it was only accurate to 10 feet unless we requested military access and even then only accurate to about 3-5 ish feet on a slow moving side to side target that only moved around 100 feet. And I have not looked into it but, it would not surprise me if a license to use the newer side station technology cost more than people's phones. Hence not truly capable of doing it at all. My old 300 dollar handheld GPS is more accurate than a 1,000 dollar phone. Your local/countries gps accuracy is determined by the government/military because they have priority over the citizens needs. And before someone tries to say they passed some law giving people accurate positioning. You were given about 1 more foot down from the 10 foot when I worked with this equipment. And the time stamps have nothing to do with the accuracy of the position or speed being traveled. Any of these ebike/scooter people want to come visit, I'll be glad to show them how to properly test range and speed, and show them just how inaccurate there phones are. As an example of common things people don't know. The road signs that say distance to the next town, is measured from post office to post office. Cooking instructions are another one, they are based on sea level elevation. At my elevation of 2500 ish feet oven temps are 25 degrees lower than the package instructions. Just because things are stated does not mean that is how they actually work. None of this was specifically meant for you William so please don't take offense. Cheers

@@johnbeaudette583 gps on my phone is accurate to + - 5ft on a bad day. Over the course of an hour you're right, there might be a mile or two difference. I have a draggy chip that can do + - 6" and measures to the 100th of a second. Im sure my GPS in this video got thrown off by a few things, including the parking garage, but guess what, even if the range was 20 miles instead of ~21 , thats at least a number to work with instead of the manufacturer's 80 mile range spec or whatever they give for this scoot.

Great video and great review 👍but I gotta ask you since you test ridden both e.v. scooters. Ginger which is faster, WEPED or DUALTRON? I would love to see you compare a WOLF🤴KING GT PRO, RION, WEPED, and DUALTRON would be amazing to watch your reactions and final thoughts on the comparison between the four. Final question which one between the WEPED and DUALTRON you would pick and why?
@revolutionaries0072 жыл бұрын
U aren't seriouisly asking which is faster are you? the Weped (esp the FS) is in a category that only the Rion (esp the thrust) is in as far as power. both of those are hyper scooters than crank out over 30k
@micahdavidmorningstar41762 жыл бұрын
@@revolutionaries007 I simply wouldn't want to choose between the two which is Weped and Rion. But they both are crazy fast and on another level that's out of this world. However they have advantages and disadvantages over the other like the weight of the Weped is the big elephant in the room. On the other it makes up for that with its incredible speed thrust and light display to dominate the night. The Rion is three times lighter and the speed is supernatural along with agility that it has over the Weped. They both have down falls in what the other lacks like the Rion lacks lights but small upgrades will take care of that. For me if you decided to get one or the other than you win regardless and be top dog in the EV world. You get both than it's a win win. Rion or Weped you can't lose.
@fury2302 жыл бұрын
Awesome video!! Man that thing is fast as heck! 21.1 miles is interesting. It would be nice if there was a nice big screen on it. But did the regen break completely? I would think Dualtron should have made it a lot more durable.. I was wondering, when you have the regen brakes on, does it constantly slow down the scooter or is it just really strong when braking?
@GingerOnWheels2 жыл бұрын
Regen overheated, it works again now that the scooter is cold.
@chrisharris15222 жыл бұрын
as you apply the brakes there is a switch in the brake levers that activates the brake lights when the lights come on the regen also comes on, if you apply the brake lever a little more the hydraulic pistons start to grip the discs, so ideally you can brake without any brake pad wear most situations and save the disc brakes for emergencies or for when you want to do skids

@@JoyRideJay11 I've owned both and yes dualtron has better fit and finish. But every scoot has its ups and downs. The money you have to spend just on a dualtron and then all the ad ons is crazy lol. I previously owned a wolf warrior 11+ after a dualtron and just recently upgraded to the wolf king GT. The wolf king GT is literally a night and day difference. The most stable by far! Of any scooter I've been on.

Not much testing on the limited. I need to see a test video before I really decide to buy that 5400 dollar puppy

It could be cool if its not overprice and less than 40 lbs & can easily put it on a car trunk
