Im totally in on this series. The fact you are battling hard difficulty has me totally invested. It might be a little frustrating at times, but youve proven you can win & youll just keep getting better. When you are the underdog its so hype when you do well. I love it. Keep crushing! Cheers!

One thing I’ve noticed from the first couple of videos is that your returns from there serve is always back to the middle and making it easy for them. I’ve not played this game but maybe try mixing that up if you can. Loving the content and looking forward to more in the series

Your content's been crazy lately man. I'm barely getting stuff watched before you upload another. It's great to have entertainment on tap. Apologies if I don't comment on every video. I'm always playing catch-up. Still got to catch up on your Fallout stuff. Thanks Apex (and Sanakagy of course).

the timing in TopSpin isn't about when you hit the button, but when you release the button.

I don’t have the game so take the following tips with a grain of salt depending on the mechanics: 1) I’d rush the net less. Even when you hit good or perfect shots, they bounce slow and give your opponent time to wind up for an aggressive shot. I’d do it when they are running to hit the ball back and hit a soft one that you can chase down easily and volley. 2) I think the player automatically moves forward when you hit a shot so maybe try to stick further behind the baseline. That way you have more time to react and change directions. 3) if you have time after you hit a shot, try to stick to the middle of the baseline. That way, even if your speed or stamina is low, you can chase the down the opponent’s shot. 4) a slice is a good way to buy yourself some time to get in a better position and forces the opponent to hit through you. Again, not an expert on the game but hope these help. Great content as always man!!

This series is hella fun to watch! You didn't have to rest 2 months there btw, 1 month would've put you at 100%. The +51 and +100 is just what gets added to your stamina.

You're not wrong in saying that but that's typical 2k career mode starts. They want to make it really hard to play the game without microtransactions.

So true. I've been very close to buying some xp boosts and level 10 accelerators but decided not to. It's a good game but scummy practices.

Yeah I don't like it at all
@supersasukemaniac7 ай бұрын
actually no, until you can get fittings, which requires grinding (Gold to Platinum coach level), you can't buy anything that actually makes you better, this is more traditional TopSpin where you will be horrible early on because everyone is better then you statistically speaking. you just need to keep grinding. especially with training depending on the level of training, you can get a lot of XP. Also think of it this way, the goals early on are just to play in tournaments, the game expects you not to win right away.

@TheApexHound for the volleis you should use the trigger button (R2 on PS5)

What would be more immersive is to disable the ball indicator. That’s the little yellow X that appears on your side. Also I’ve seen other players play on a much lower camera angle. Makes it more immersive

I started my career mode in hard difficulty and stamina is really a problem. Unbeaten at the moment, but i'm always a month out injured after a tournament. I play the full sets, maybe that has something to do with it. After 2 tournaments i used my rookie rise pack to get my player at level 10. Hopefully i get a bit less injured now.

Coming from NBA2k they might want you to buy vc to bring your stats up. I hope that’s not the case though.

Is there challenge option?
@kevinzermatten39747 ай бұрын
Writing this and I haven't finished the video but when you played the special challenge, it was quite obvious that his forehand was way better than his backhand. I'm not saying that you would have won the match but maybe taking 10 seconds to look at the opponent's stats wouldn't a bad idea. He really hit 95%+ of his winners with his forehand ...

@theapexhound How can the volley always go central? Is it because the stats are bad or is it just hard to do because of the way the game mechanics are

This is fun but dude, why do you always have to rush the net if you have no intention smashing the ball?
@BA_Cloud7 ай бұрын
I am not going to lie, I don't understand the fact that they start you at 30 on all attributes. When your opponents have mid-high 60s on some of their stats to begin with. I think that is something they need to change/fix.

@TimVerhaert7 ай бұрын
That's because it's same as in Topspin 4. However the main difference is that in Topspin 4 you played against AI's between level 3 and 8 in the 250 series. In 2K25 you play against levels 14-19 in the 250 series.
@steezymtb58767 ай бұрын
Surely there must be a stroke available at the net that isn't a soft backspin? So many times you play yourself to the net in prime position and then just softly lob the ball to the other side when all you would need to do is to hit the ball downwards and you'd win.
@TimVerhaert7 ай бұрын
Yes, there is. But this is a player with very low stats, making it very difficult to properly time the hits at the net. The higher your volley stat becomes, the better you gonna hit that ball at the net

the first person you face in these tournaments is usually so much better then you because they are the #1 seeded player. as you get better, and get higher in the standings, you will get more evenly matched players to face in the 250s
