Ahhh Psychedelic Love is now a big transitional/spring scent and I’m glad to see it get some attention! Great vanilla-free option. I’ve owned my bottle for 2 years and stored it well, and I will say that the depth and lasting power is now all day and strong! I absolutely love l’eau papier! (I might have commented on another video, but for people who are not aware: the l’eau papier impression from oil perfumery is great! I find the top and middle notes last longer than the original, and there is less of that “not a perfume” musk at the end)

I got a sample of Sakura last December and didn't like it, so I tried it again two days ago, when i was arranging my samples and mennn, that it was fresh and very appealing. Yes, Ormonde Jayne is slept on. I love frangipani and champaca. I am looking at Levant now instead of LDBS, which I have a sample of and is too sweet for me.

Well, northern Wisconsin is going out like a lion….. winter storm warning with 6-10” of snow ❄️ It has been one crazy winter up here. Oh you are colder than we are (substantially)! My favorite clothes are Wintertime clothing; I’m happiest in corduroys, a fluffy turtleneck sweater and suede boots. Which is saying a lot seeing my first 25 years I didn’t own any of those things (in Texas). It will be hot soon enough and then we will all be complaining about how hot it is. I’m glad you mentioned anosmia because I was so confused when I dove into fragrances. No one talks about it! 4/10 samples I got I couldn’t smell at all. I’d get a scent that reminded me being in the OR for one of my many surgeries, that sterile scent, “anesthesia gas mask” with a metallic tinge. Even if I can smell a fragrance, I go anosmic very quickly. Hour tops. Sintra was a unique “anosmia fail” for me. I could smell the petigrain, citrus AND the dreaded gas mask. To this day it’s the only fragrance that I was partially anosmic to! Even more interesting is that I continue to go sniff the samples in my “anosmia fails” box and after 6 months I can now smell BDK Velvet Tonka and La Capitale. La Capitale was horrid for me initially. Gas mask and rotten eggs!!! Now I can smell it and I LOVE IT 😂

As I reminded her that the sample I was handing her was the strawberry caramel one she was excited to try when I ordered, i told her about my tragic experience when testing La Capitale. She just sprayed it on her wrist and I ran, screaming “nooo”, and then- “OMG GET IT OFF OF ME! It smells like the VOMIT JELLY BEAN from BEAN-BOOZLE! Mooooommmmm helpppp!” (Bean boozle is the little bags of odd flavored Jelly Belly jelly beans and the kids blindly eat them not knowing if it’s cherry or booger flavored 😂) So she had her first taste of oud or had the same anosmic scent experience as me!

Have You tried Liam Grey? It is a dupe and a mix of both Gris Charnels. With really nice longgevity. I only use original Gris Charnel as a layering fragrance. It goes really well with soft powderry fragrances. For example, Loubirouge or Choco Violette. Then it is perfect! I found extrait a bit too masculine for my taste. That Liam Grey is a nice middle ground.

Baptisma by Chapel Factory smells like lemon meringue to me 😍 but I must try this one! Yknow I *ADORE* Ormonde Jayne perfumes and hadnt tried her Sakura, I generally find Sakura perfumes too light and airy and not me, almost insipid (if that is the right word). Many brands have some releases that are a bit more mass appealing and I guess, obviously incorrectly that OJ's Sakura was one, now I need to test it. My favourite OJ is Muscat, oh how I adore it

I LOVE Gris Charnel, this is on my top 10 perfumes list for life. I don't know Rima by CB and because I love cardamon so much in perfumes I need to test this one. Perdizione is close to Guimauve de Noël to my nose. I have a 10ml of it and I don’t think I’ll buy a larger bottle until I’m done with Guimauve… do you find them similar?

Yes they are both gourmandy orange blossom. Guimauve is much sweeter on me and doesn’t have that slightest bit of green freshness. But you don’t need both unless you are a nutty content creator (no names will be mentioned). 😂

I probably have and didn’t have symptoms because I work in health care and always exercising in small classes and am constantly around ppl. So, does Sesame smell like Sesame Oil?? Because that's one of my most hated scents ever, along with burnt plastic and whatever that pickle juice smell is (possibly papyrus?) Do you know what makes that scent? 💗🤟🏻

No it does not. But you should probably stay away from most sesame heavy scents then. The pickle I think is a combo of a clean sandalwood and papyrus
