Is true, this case is not between NPP and NDC , the case got nothing to do with NDC ! Under normal circumstances, the parliament is supposed to defend by Attorney General!

These Judges are so concerned about the people who stand to lose because their representatives in parliament have been removed. Is this not the same court that has sat on the SALL case that was brought for them to adjudicate? It’s been close to 4years. This court is truly not a neutral arbiter.

I can predict the outcome of the whole case. On the 11 of November, I predict that the court would say that the 4 MPs had not vacated their seats by their actions. I can predict the future.

Joy fm please stop pick and choose, imagine is this situation in January 6, 2021 where Babin was voted to speaker by some NPP members, this wouldn’t have happened, it would have been the Speaker the attorney general defending the parliament!

Why would any rational being want 4 reps of over tens of thousands of citizens of Ghana be sacked? Come on, the Constitution must be interpreted holistically. The Speaker in this case was dancing to the tune of his party, NDC. Very unfortunate indeed! This is a clear case of partisan interest over riding national interest.

In my honest opinion , Speaker ASK shouldn't have fallen for Ato's and Haruna's bait when the issue came up.He should have exercise a great deal of tact but rather fell for the polical machinations of his beloved NDC!!!

The pronouncements of the chief justice, in my opinion and verily so, has brought finality to this matter. She has given the outcome of the case long before the substantial case would be heard. If she says the those affected constituents would be denied representation, whe she says those members of parliament would cease to receive their salaries, their ex gratia, those who are ministers would be fired and so on justifies a clear indication. Now, what happens when the court rules in favor of the speaker? Wouldn't the affected constituencies be denied representation? Wouldn't the affected MP's lose all the benefits thereof? There's no need for the speaker to file any case in defense. Case close.

The statement by the CJ, “we are in a country where parliament is not sitting” was neither here nor there. It’s not the job of the court to determine when parliament should sit. Their job is to interpret the law. That statement clearly showed the court is pursuing a government business agenda. Get parliament to sit so government business of passing tax breaks for crony businesses will continue.

Ansah Asare -stop throwing your weight and your opinion ABOUT, __ the Supreme Court Judges were Vetted by the Hung Parliament-- so Ansah Kweku Asare don't bring yourself-' your pronouncement is unfortunate.i seriously suspect Ansah has a score to settle with some of his old NPP Party members- Unlike the UK--Parliament is not Supreme-- Ansah Asare is in the mold of Martin Kwevu.

What did the chief justice said, according to her ruling on article 97 (g)(h) she refers to many thousand of Ghanaians, did she want to tell the whole world that those seats declared by the speaker were not part of the thousands she was interpretating.

Putting a spin on these grave matters is disingenuous. A candidate for office of a political party MUST NOT SIT AS A JUDGE ON A CASE BROUGHT BY THE PARLIAMENTARY LEADER OF HIS POLITICAL PARTY. WHETHER THAT JUDGE HAD HAD PARLIAMENTARY APPROVAL OR NOT. THAT REASONING IS UNTENABLE AND WRONG.

The idea of the Supreme Court interpreting laws it did not enact is foolish. Parliament is the one that enact laws and should have the power to interpret them. How can people who were not part of enacting the laws are the ones to give the right interpretation? This is madness. Those who make the laws know the true intentions behind those laws

How can I write my book and ask someone else to tell me the meaning of what I wrote? It was someone who brought the idea of the rule of law and checks and balances and many democracies bought into it. But that doesn't mean that if the way we're applying is foolish nobody should talk about it.
