Despite USA's claim of being the world champion of democracy, the Jan 6, 2021 insurrection at the Capitol clearly shows how fragile the American democracy is. A legitimately and democratically elected president was almost overthrown by a violent mob. The scene on that day at the Capitol was so much like the revolutions happened in the third world countries. Even on today, Americans who support Donald Trump, who constitute almost half of USA population, could rise up and launch another attack on democracy like the one in 2021. Democracy is a weak ideology which may disappear at the slightest disturbance.
