Homes should be built differently if people are going to continue living where hurricanes and tornadoes are around commonly. I say cement upside down bowl, domed roof and cement underground so floods and winds can't get in or catch roofs.

Our hearts go out to the victims of Milton Huricane. Think about this in positive way if your still alive. Its your second life! You all can go through this and hardship will pass. Stay away from coastal areas as the Global warming will not get any better as population is rising and technologies are ruining the environment affecting global climate. The agencies are saying to act now about global warming which mean to make the global warming to slow down not to stop it. These huricanes will continue in the future. We can imagine most of these people got their houses with 30 years bank mortgages and this incident came in the middle when the home owners are already old. They got nothing now and still got bank loans. Losing houses is difficult especially when you need it the most when your old.

Always remember during times of Natural Disasters and Devastation....from Earthquakes, Floods, Forest Wildfires to Tornados and Hurricanes. It's gasoline and Diesel engine vehicles and tractors that get the hard work done in Disaster areas. NOT EVs because there is no power.

Last Story: The house is still in tact, though. They probably just have to get rid of some of the furniture and some of the damaged articles. Also, they need professionals/cleaners to remove the muck from the floor and to repair other damages caused to the house.
