There is also the Wermacht halftracks with a certain commander that can drop flares in positions along with camo themselves and providing a place to reinforce.

by the way ... #1 flare is mortar level 0 russian or level 1 for 120mm lowest cost (15 muni i think )

On cases like Storm doctrine, it should be noted that the Stuka Smoke run is also a cheap recon option though with a very very brief window of opportunity. Also, the IR HT of OKW is currently scheduled to get a recon plane ability next patch. Lastly, Advanced Emplacements most of the time shouldn't need to use its artillery ability, as it can just use its base artillery in counter-battery mode.

Mostly yes, they have a small range around the garrison and can't be deployed outside of it if memory serves me correctly.

Oh shit, we're finally gonna be able to aim the Major's recon plane? That's been my number 1 issue, my OCD makes it really hard to decide where to even click, can't tell where the plane's coming from and if I'll be wasting a run or not.

Independently to the faction, that picked - both soviet mortars have flare, WM mortar - counter barrage (if I'm not mistaken). But look at veteransy requirements.

Biggest early game mistake in team games that axis noobs do is go for both fuels against veteran ally players. You stay together and get the closest 2 vp points and one fuel. You stick together because ally inf will destroy axis inf that are split up.

is the stuka bombing strike really worth to get? I mean it cost 200 freaking Munitions to kill a tiny group of enemies as the circle is small i railway cost the same but damages a large area

My top team tips. 1) Don't bother building Artilery unless you have a well coordinated team. 2) Encourage your team to do the same. Minimize building fragile expensive units. 3) The enemy team will have lots of abilities to scout the fog of war, and deploy abilities targeting blobs, and fixed fortifications, guns, etc. ( Scouting is reletavely cheap in team games, since the entire team benefits ) So mobile forces are important. 4) Ganging up 2v1 in coordinated attacks is tempting. But might backfire. As your forces will be painting themselves for coordinated retribution by their entire spooked team, say 2 or 3 enemy players. And while your units are relatively clumped up with your ally's. 5) The map will fill up with enemies. Mines you build might as well be guided missiles. Someone eventually steps on them. Planted explosives, mines, call in abilities, goliaths will have a field day. Munitions are at a premium then, late game. I mean... look at any Skippy replay. 6) Basic Infantry is very good in a setting where abandoned team weapons, pick up weapons, AT guns are usually everywhere in the map. And infantry retreats safely and fast. Unlike vehicles, that have no retreat capability and can suffer engine damage, or even get blocked by enemy vehicles. Heavy use of infantry is an efficient way of making a good map impact with your limited supply of man power. You are never going to lose lots of infantry to teller mines, most AT guns, a number of Tank Destroyers, AT squads, etc. Let the enemy worry too hard about tanks mid game, then overwhelm them with infantry. Cap the map. Cripple their economy for a few moments. Infantry and Smoke. 7) Measure if the enemy is hard on laying mines throughout the match. Adapt if they are. But don't freak out if you step on a couple. Learn what your opponents are doing, change what you are doing if you are falling for it too much. Don't feed more tanks to their Vet 3 AT guns... Might seem obvious, but during a match it often isn't. Lose Tiger Build Tiger Lose Tiger Build Tiger... Seen it too much since CoH 1.

Hans, whats your opinion on the soviet mortar having a flare ability on vet 0? Why is this the only non-doctrinal unit in the entire game that can do this? On top pf being an 'indirect fire' unit itself?!

the only thing the soviet has for safe scouting is m3 scout which is not really safe given how slow and paper it is so a raketen will delete it if you overstep your territory, brits' infantry already have good sight and it becomes better with veterency, and they still have valentine and AEC for extra vision, not to mention the scout abilities, USF has similier options like brits, okw has kubel and puma along with flares, ostheer has scout car , soviet only has the doctrinal plane or the flare, and that's it

Maybe Hans speaked only about reliable ways (for example, jaeger infantry have both: flare (although it's range is worse than fusiliers flare) by jaegers and light artillery barrage (but I doubt that this ability could not only decrew enemy's artillery, but also kill it (once my friend together with another 2 guys played 3 vs 3 (command panther, jagdtiger and Jaeger infantry) and they lost because ML 20 spam (ISU 152 and guards, propaganda (not NKVD, but another) and mechanized company)))).

I will be honest Han's 4v4 seem to big and blobby for me, it start to take away the tactical side of the game. I prefer the smaller matches.

Thank you for video. Can you please give some comments about it here about: Germany fraction is too op for this mode due to tanks, isnt it? Especially patheras that difficult to penetrate and has high mobility and Royal tiger that has a huge amount of hp and can easily tank everything. Both of them should be nerfed. How do you think about it?

Axis have amzing tanks, that's both in the game and IRL. I use soviet penalty squads combined with either AT guns (captured or commander supplied) or support from 85 spam. I mainly go against AI though, as I'm on week 2 of playing.

Question! So I play 2v2 mostly. I have no problem with any faction except for soviets vs okw. I tried many different styles, t1 seems most effective. But I always get okw infantry spawned behind my sniper and wiped out, any advice? Thanks!

Try conscripts with the PPSH-41 assault package, only costs 60 munitions btw and you can upgrade to 7 guys after you build the last 2 buildings

You can't have 7 man cons with PPSHs, is either one or the other since 7man upgrade costs a weapon slot, though idk how that helps to protect against a spawned infantry against sniper. I think OKW doesn't really have any "spawnable" infantry from buildings like stormtroopers or partisans. If you're talking about Jeager Light infantry which has a G43 and which is great to counter snipers then try planting anti-personnel mines or just mines on corners where they might flank your sniper, and have your sniper always on cover to avoid getting spotted in plain sight, or just have it near another infantry squad or light vehicle to provide it with some cover.

6:42 Hans, maybe change position (maybe, show closer or from another angle) because I thought that partisans use АК 47 😃😃😃 (I know version that АК 47 it's just little changed STG 44, and not only that but also, that changes were made by captured German engineers (prisoners of war)), and all that "modern" mods allows to do this, but please don't do that, if we unprepared.

It is a fun game hop in ! it will drain the fuck out of you if you play an aggressive style but it is the best multiplayer fun i ever had !
