Hello Bob I love your videos as they are very effective and provides lot of important information. Just I have question regarding display FZ G1 as you explained that is possible to use in rain. From my experience, maybe also for you to record video... I have experience with TOUGHPAD FZ X1 which is 5 inch tablet with voice option. There is possible to setup Glove Mode and Rain Mode. Not sure if FZ G1 you present on this video is have this option. Just I found information related how FZ G1 can be used in rain there should be some setup for WET DISPLAY. Finally what maybe should be interesting compare 2 fully rugged tablets as FZ G1 and FZ M1. Not sure if you have video for FZ X1 or FZ E1 those are the same just difference is in operating systems as WIN version or Android version. So maybe I will give you some ideas as I have some personal experience with Panasonic devices. So we can discuss. Will be happy for any answer you can provide. PETR

Are these systems still pretty fast with only 8GB of RAM? I'm upgrading from a ThinkPad X220 Tablet with 2nd gen i7 and 16GB of RAM, but I was also using a ToughBook CF-H2. Also, are there substantial differences between the generations in speed and battery life (for instance, the mk2, mk3, mk4 and mk5)?

Does anyone know of a solution to fix the rubber bumper when it becomes loose? I had a similar problem on Garmin GPS that I "fixed" by cutting out the excess rubber, then gluing the rubber bumper back onto the unit. It worked, but didn't look very nice. Can I try the same thing with the FZ-G1? Are replacement bumpers available? Any other suggestions?

We have not found a good solution to this problem. It would seem that this is a common issue with not only the FZ-G1 model but also other models from Getac as well. If you do find a good solution please share it with us. Thanks for watching.

@@Bobjohnson Are replacement rubber surround bumpers available to purchase? If not, I'll try gluing mine and I'll post here to let you know the results.

@@waxwood9232 I have not found a place where you can purchase the rubber bumpers that surround the FZ-G1. If you find this part somewhere please share it with the group.

Hi Bob, we bought a add on Modem for LTE and install as per. do you have any guides that we can check. ours is not registering the new modem installed. we have Mk4 any link will do.

If you can send an email to tech_support with your full model number as well as the model number of the LTE card you installed. They can send over the proper links for you.

i dont care what features the FZ-G1 has. even with 8 gb ram...the video resolution and quality sucks!

That also depends on which generation you have. If you had one of the first FZ-G1s, the display technology could be from 2013. If you have one of the later models, the resolution and quality is better because as they continued to make them, they used new technology. Thanks for watching.
