Yes! We don’t need more voices, we need more listeners. Not so much, listening to the extreme loud voices of contemporary rhythms. I went back in ‘09 as an intern at the BLM. Had no clue what it was till they asked me to go. Changed my life outlook in 5 days. Trying to make it back for my 40th next year. Love to here your story Jenny. I share so much of that from my time at BM as well. David - start your costume and art car design now!!

Just remember when you go out there, it maybe home, But it is a home that will check you real fast... so take it easy, it takes 24 to 48 hours to acclimatize to the environment. Drink a good 2 liters (2 quarts) of water before you arrive at gate (weather dependant) cooler years a liter is a good start. keeping your water and electrolytes in balance is critical. It is frightening how quickly people can over exert themselves doing "normal" things in a very abnormal environment. Also, embrace the shade the direct sun mid day can be absolutely brutal, however it is a great time to adventure, going out into deep playa and seeing the art is well worth the time.
