One of the first games I played was Fossil Fighters for the Nintendo DS. It was a Christmas day, and I got my first DS when I was like 7. I didn't know what I was getting into. I was stuck on the tutorial for quite a bit, but loved it the second I got to Greenhorn Plains. To this day, I still love dinosaurs, and I thank it for making me into the person I am now.

Some games that I feel some good nostalgia towards? I'll see what I can dig up... I'm going to be honest here: The VAST majority of games I've got for Nintendo hardware are racing games. But you're not going to hear me singing the praises of "Mario Kart" or "Diddy Kong Racing" here. Oh no, I've got other ideas... "Wave Race 64" and "F-Zero X" are two of my favorite games from the N64 era, and for good reason. Damn, there hasn't been a jet ski game since "WR64" that actually did it as well as Nintendo did. And "F-Zero X", HOLY SHIT, THE SOUNDTRACK. Those blazing guitar riffs, those pounding drum beats, it's like the game's music is COMPELLING you to floor it. Perfect soundtrack for racing at speeds faster than sound. And while I'm on the topic of racing games, "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2". I consider it the finest game in the franchise. It's what "NFS" should always be: Racing set as far away from the city streets as possible, with a roster dominated by European exotics. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lotus, it's like a who's who of top tier sports car brands. "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron", as a trilogy, is awesome incarnate. Well, "Rebel Strike"'s ground levels aside. But seriously, flying around as a fighter ace of the Rebel Alliance, kicking the Galactic Empire's ass? Not to mention the vast array of different iconic "Star Wars" ships. X-Wings, Y-Wings, A-Wings, the Millennium Falcon, TIE Fighters, you name it. And since I'm talking about "Star Wars", I'm just going to throw out a mention of "Republic Commando". Seeing what the "Star Wars" galaxy looks like to the regular grunts of the universe is a refreshingly different way to see things compared to the usual focus solely on Jedi and Sith. "Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge" is one of the most fun games I've ever played. The aircraft designs are amazing, and the alternate history setting is fascinating. It's also a very fast and fun arcade flier, with intense dogfights. I love it. I just wish someone out there would make something similar again. Probably the biggest reason I'm such a fan of racing games would have to be "San Francisco Rush". My parents bought it for my fifth birthday, back in 1996, along with an N64 to play it on. The three N64 "Rush" games were all great arcade racers that were all about going fast and catching massive air. The huge jumps made these games very exciting, seeing if you could actually make the landing from that shortcut you just discovered.

I've only seen you a couple times by random passerby videos, but after watching this video, I was shocked how much in Common I have with you. I grew up spoiled by my Grandma, I played the hell out of SB: flying dutchman, I spent more hours in the Chao garden in SA2 than the actual game, and Pikmin became my Favorite Nintendo Franchise after playing it for the first time as a kid at a Kmart Kiosk in 2002- and later got it that christmas. I would of argued we would be the same person if you listed Banjo-Kazooie as Number 1 lmao. Anyway, Excellent video, Subscribed.

My first Nostalgic game was Maplestory, it's sad to see how people disregard a game that tries to keep people interested in it. It's still being updated, and the soundtrack is as great as it was before, even better than it was, you might not have played it, but during 2006-2010 Maplestory was popular among schools.
@reaperofburgers7 жыл бұрын
Mook Meels I remember back in 07 when I was hard into Runescape my best friend was really getting into Maplestory and I totally brushed it off, but then around 2014 I started to play it, and damn if it isn't a decent game, it totally flips MMOs upside down by being 2D
@loommaster27027 жыл бұрын
Mook Meels we used to play Dwarf Fortress at school. you have no idea how easy it was to understand with the wiki but one alt tab away. with how many lunches we spent in the computer room, in year 9 a few of us did a succession fortress together. I am not joking, best memory of my entire secondary school life (not that there would be much competition)

2012 maplestory was another hellhole though in the game's life. What they did in there was absolute BULLSHET, and I think its safe to say they moved on from it. I think Maplestory should end because of not that many people playing it any more solely because of how boring it's gotten.

Here's my own Top 5 Nostalgic Games 5. Magic School Bus games (Looking at them now, they're very archaic. But as a kid obsessed with science, it was all good fun) 4. Donkey Kong 64 (In hindsight, this wasn't a well designed game. But I still love the idea of it and the MASSIVE world they've made. Diddy's jetback was also the best thing ever) 3. Pokemon Snap (So short, yet SO FUN as a kid! Why isn't there a sequel?!) 2. Sonic Heroes (Honestly, my nostalgia for this game is the only thing keeping it a favorite of mine ^^; But I do still think Sonic Heroes was a decent game that was fun when you got a handle on things and had a lot of great ideas. The game just needed some fine-tuning) 1. Banjo-Tooie (Everyone always looks to the original game as their favorite, but I've always preferred its sequel because it's pretty much the original game but BIGGER! Bigger levels, bigger enemies, bigger quest... It may have been too hard for my younger self but I had a blast playing it anyway)

Lol, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. Great N64 game. My old nostalgia for N64(also rated T)was Battletanx. Drive giant tanks. Shoot your friends.

I remember when my cousin let me play the PlayStation 2 for the first time. It's what led me to becoming addicted to games and I still don't regret it.

My favorite "bad game" is MS Saga: A New Dawn. It's a mediocre RPG for the PS2 that I absolutely love. Might have been better received if it had been on the PS1, but it wasn't even a glimmer in the eyes of Bandai then...

The fact you referenced AntDude, another one of my favorite small KZbinrs is really cool! Getting some other smaller channels a little recognition. Also, happy MAY-Rio Month!!

Bomberman Hero... so much nostalgia. To this day this game just makes me feel like a kid again. It is weird, it is fun, it has great music, and it just has such charm. There are better Bomberman games, but none are closer to my heart.

Splatoon 2 is for me what sonic adventure 2 is for you. It helped me through the worst time of my life, and made me into who I am today.

no offense but Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 for PS2 I hated because it was a pain in the arse, I couldn't even do the simplest of things, I tripped on the edge of a sidewalk, I fell trying to do any degree Ollie, I hated the game, I preferred Disney Extreme Skate Adventure for PS2 I loved more, it had the exact same controls but was easier and I could play as some of my favourite Disney characters, sadly it only featured Tarzan, Toy Story, and The Lion King with like 2 skate parks per film and the only character I liked at the time was Simba and so I played him a lot, too bad that you can only play the characters in their films, I like Buzz Lightyear and Terk from Tarzan, but I was more into Simba at the time, I was only able to play DESA at a friends and I still have THPS4 and I still can't do crap in it so I only have one skate park unlocked still and I still suck at it and I barely play it so I don't get good and IT'S EXTREMELY DIFFICULT!!!!!

Most nostalgic video game? Pokémon HeartGold. The very first DS game I've ever played! Logan, memories are sacred and ancient. I want you to know that I wouldn't take any of that for granted. ~TheMlgPyro

I used to love making my own stories with a game while playing it. It was kind of like a play along fan-fiction that my younger mind used to adore.
