I actually built an Iroas EDH around it and it's pretty op to know that your opponents have absolutely no more chance when Sunforger is out and I got the Mana.

I think Nim Deathmantle is good in any Voltron deck, even without the combos. You don't have to attach it, but you can use it to put the commander back on to the field at death. It's likely cheaper than a recasting.

I combo’d blade of the bloodchief with elenda the dusk rose and purphoros and viscera seer. Nobody was worried about me until after they killed elenda spawning 10 creatures, then i topdecked a bloodline necromancer to bring her back, sac’d all 10 tokens, and the rest of my board besides her, and put 3 1/1 counters per creature on her then sac’d her and killed the whole table at once

Umezawa's Jitte has never been really underwhelming for me, it's the -1/-1 that's actually used, and Jitte is a staple in any deck that runs creatures and does combat regularly

Neurok Stealthsuit should be an honorable mention, in blue it's pretty much a counterspell for anything targeting one of your creatures. I run it in my Phenax deck...I don't have friends anymore.

No offense but I think that Jitte is by far one of the most powerfull equipment in all of commander, simply because its abilities can be used while its not equiped.

Not to mention theres a number of things at 2 toughness that are super good that it kills. Its a hatebear killer. It kills teague, both thalia's, kitaki, hokori, aven mindcensor, and a bunch more of the super strong hatebears. I think hes nuts for npt having it in top 5.

I'd rate the boots higher than the greaves, just on the basis that hexproof is better than shroud. In many cases, you want to still target your creature at instant speed, and paying one more really isn't that much.

I like Kusari-Gama, Banshee's Blade, and Fireshrieker due to the huge help those equipments are. Especially if all of them are on the same creature. Banshee's Blade also has increasing benefits. Grafted Exoskeleton is amazing especially with Derevi and Whispersilk Cloak can be nice if the creature is already big. Jousting Lance is a fairly good equipment too. I play on a budget so that is what I use.

Skullclamp should be number one. Any deck playing it is gaining so much advantage. Greaves and boots are good, but not as good

personally the best equipment in edh is skullclamp and then sofi . both cards especially clamp are abusrdly powerful. sunforger is really good too prolly wouldnt make top my top 10 tho

I run both. Darksteel Plate for indestructible creature redundancy and for how it combos with Worldslayer. Hammer of Nazahn to cheat equip costs. If they use their removal on Hammer that's one less opportunity to use it on other equipment.

Hammer of Nazahn is very much broken. I was running a Lazav Voltron build but still struggling to make his damage stronger. Because of the Hammer, I'm able to run Batterskull and Argentum Armor without worrying about equip costs. Power level achieved! Konda's Banner also affects other players' creatures too, right? I'd say that's a pretty big downside unless you're playing something like Rhys the Redeemed where you have so many creatures it doesn't matter.

I love conquer's flail I have currently been running it in nah voltron decks but still puts alot of work. Slivers tribal equip to commander laugh at the idea of sliver with a fail swinging it around killing people.

quietus spike has won me many a game. Stick it on a first strike creature and 90% of the time what ever opponent you are attacking will ether be losing all their creatures due to the deathtouch the spike gives or just be losing a ton of life every time. and sure they can destroy my creature or the equipment but that can go for using any type of equipment.

Greaves are great, but if I play with Vigor, my commander, let's say Scullbriar, kinda can't use sweet PREVENT ALL DAMAGE and free +1s for every point of dmg prevented. Or with Urgor and Filth I can't make him unblocable, since he can't be targeted by abilities in stupid greaves.

Grappling Hook is good for doublestrike redundancy if you're already running Fireshrieker and\or forcing opponent blocks (pseudo removal) but it costs 4 to cast and 4 to equip while Fireshrieker costs 3 to cast and 2 to equip.

Whats the difference between hexproof and shroud? Honestly I think they are the same. (Just confused on your #3 and #1 picks)

Shroud means the creature can't be the target of any spells or abilities, including your own or an ally's. Hexproof means it can't be the target of spell or abilities your opponents throw at it. Shroud basically makes an anti-magic shell around the creature, nothing can target it, for good or bad, whereas hexproof makes your creature immune to debuffs and negative abilities of your opponents while still being able to be targeted by you.

@@JakeBros3 Nah hexproof does not make you immune to debuffs and negative abilities of your opponents. If an opponent casts a global debuff spell for example one that gives all creatures -3/-3 until end of turn your hexproof creature will still get affected by the opponent's debuff. Hexproof simply stops opponents from targeting something with hexproof with anything whether it is good or bad.

Electronic Shaman Always remember my friend who didn't get how scullclamp was any good. Then in a single turn, I bounced it round three 1/1 tokens, drawing 6 cards. Destroyed it next turn. Think he worked out why.
